Speaking of books, people say that books are friends of human beings. It is indeed a special friend of mankind and has been praised by many celebrities. For example, Gorky said that "books are the ladder of human progress" and Roman Roland said that "keep company with books and never sigh", which directly promoted books to the status of home. This is also the case. Life with books is full, complete and wonderful. When you look back, you will find that life is so wonderful that you can't believe it. In the process of growing up, you have never been lonely, and there are so many books to accompany you through spring and winter.
The communication with books is just like the communication between people, sometimes it's just a casual acquaintance, sometimes it's like a gentleman's acquaintance, sometimes it's as plain as water, and sometimes it's a brief encounter. It is said that the sea of books is boundless, and the vast sea of books is really out of reach. I would be grateful if I could choose one or two of them and enjoy reading quietly.

I have loved reading since I was a child. There are so many benefits of reading that I can't tell you how good it is. Perhaps this is like many things and words we usually say, and we can only understand them without words. There are not many people and things about childhood, but the fragments related to books are still relatively clear. When I was more than three years old, I started my study career and started my journey of reading and literacy. I remember that at that time, my father always asked me to go home from school every evening and ask the teacher for one or two pieces of chalk, and then personally went into battle to teach me to read. At that time, I was too young to learn to hold a pen and write badly. I was beaten by my father with thorns. Although my father is very strict, he likes telling me stories and reading poems. Perhaps in this subtle way, I gradually like reading and reciting poems. My father often told me that he read so many books when he was a child that one big basket could hold several baskets in the countryside. It is because I am crazy about reading that I am good at Chinese and writing at school, but except for math, math and physics are all a mess. Based on his experience, he didn't allow me to read extracurricular books after I went to primary school. This is another story, and it will not be put here for the time being.
Speaking of it, my father is my real first teacher, whether I am literate or studying. At that time, in kindergarten, I just played with other children, and then the teacher taught me some simple rules. Today, I still clearly remember that the first Tang poem I learned was Qingming, which was taught by my father. Since then, I have loved the charm of poetry. This is also the reason why I have always loved poetry and songs. I always think poetry is the most wonderful and wonderful. Just one word or dozens of words can describe all things in nature and all kinds of human beings. We have to sigh the magic of the creator, who can create such a magical and changeable language.
In the process of life growth, the difficulty and level of reading at different ages are different. Naturally, I also followed the unchanging law for thousands of years. When I was four or five years old, in our nature, a child especially liked flowers and animals, including pictures. In rural areas in the early 1990s, such picture books were rare. It is precisely because this kind of book is rare that my father will collect every cigarette case he smokes, cut out the pictures on it, and then teach me to draw. I have to say that although my father is not good at physical chemistry, his painting skills are also quite good. It is said that he often practices painting by the small bookstall.

As I said before, after I went to primary school, my father didn't allow me to read books other than textbooks. He felt that he had not gone far on the road to study, because his family was poor and he was too partial. In his view, children reading extracurricular books will affect their academic performance, especially novels, which is even more frustrating. However, inspirational books can be read, such as How Steel was Tempered, and historical publications can also be read. When I was a child, there were not many books at home, but there were still many historical novels and magazines. Influenced by my father, I listened to many short historical stories and read many comic books related to history when I was a child. Later, I never failed in the history class at school, which benefited me a lot. Even though I went to college, I chose history as my major.
However, although my father doesn't allow me to read extracurricular books, he never rummages through my schoolbag and drawer at will. Maybe I took the initiative. I gave him every piece of homework paper to check and sign, so he didn't have to check my schoolbag again. It is precisely because of this that I have the opportunity to take home the books borrowed from my classmates and read them quietly. Of course, at this stage, children read books that they know, such as China's Fairy Tales, China's Fables, 365 Nights, 1,001 Nights, Andersen's Fairy Tales, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Bambi's Story and A Piece of White Feather ... Many of these books are borrowed from classmates, and some are borrowed from the school library. There were few books in school at that time, but there were enough books for us to read. I am very lucky. The head teacher of the primary school is my Chinese teacher, with the key to the school library in his hand. She advocates that students should read more books, so she always encourages us to borrow books from her. Influenced by her, I like books more and more
After the fifth and sixth grade of primary school, the books I read are no longer always myths, fables and fairy tales. In the fifth grade of primary school, I began to read Water Margin (Pinyin Edition), and in the sixth grade, I read how steel was tempered. These two books are borrowed from classmates. Of course, I also have my own books. I have a comic book General History of China, edited by Mr. Bai Shouyi. From pre-Qin to Ming and Qing dynasties, I never tire of reading. At that time, I was young and didn't know a few words. I just think the picture above is very interesting. After learning a lot of words, I began to combine the pictures with the following explanations. With this set of books, I told my classmates stories from junior high school, most of which was Empress Wu Zetian. There are six volumes in this set of books, but unfortunately three volumes were lost in the process of lending, and now the remaining three volumes have been turned into rags. At that time, there were some works like General Nian Gengyao, Kangxi Dynasty and Yongzheng Dynasty in February River. These books are too thick, full of dense words. In view of the limited literacy at that time, I just flipped through them.

When we first entered junior high school, the study task was not very heavy, so we had enough time to do what we liked. People who love reading like me naturally belong to the category of reading all day. During this period, I began to read A Dream of Red Mansions and Romance of the Three Kingdoms (original version). Sometimes, I feel very strange. When you were eleven or twelve years old, how did you understand these ancient books with abstruse words and complicated relationships between characters and be fascinated by them? But I really understand. I watched A Dream of Red Mansions many times on the first day, and when I watched it for the second time, I already sorted out the relationship between the four Jia families. It's incredible to think about it now. Because reading has become a mystery, regardless of time, place and occasion. I remember borrowing a copy of Alice in Wonderland from my classmates. I was deeply attracted by the story, so I hid it under the textbook in biology class and continued to read it, which was quite devoted. As a result, I didn't react until the biology teacher stepped down and took my book. The biology teacher is very strict in the whole school except the name. I had the courage to read extra-curricular books in his class and was caught. I was scared to death. After class, I stubbornly refused to admit my mistake and cried and shouted, and then I asked for the book back.
In junior high school, under the guidance of the teacher, we began to get in touch with the world famous. Due to the teacher's recommendation and request, I read many famous works at this stage, such as Notre Dame de Paris, La Traviata, Childhood, My University, On Earth, Robinson Crusoe, Gulliver's Travels, Who's Who and so on.
I began to contact romance novels in the third grade. At that time, many students were reading How Many Flowers Fall in a Dream written by Jing M. Guo, so this is the first romance novel I read and the only one I read in junior high school. In the third grade, facing the pressure of entering a higher school, I have endless homework every day. Time is so precious that I borrowed a copy of Duke of Lushan by Mr. Jin Yong from the library. I don't know what I was thinking at that time. As my father worried, I was really biased, but fortunately, mathematics and physics were not bad enough to make people angry.

Later, I entered high school as I wished. Although I am in the county seat, I am overweight, so I have been comforting myself. (At that time, the goal was Nanshan Middle School in the city, but I didn't get in, and my grades were much worse. Later, I finally went to school there for various reasons, which was my childhood dream. ) The high school campus is not only elegant, but also fully equipped. What makes me most happy is that the school has a big library on the first floor of the administration building. At that time, we called it "the library". Later, when I went to college, I realized that the "library" in middle school really can't be called a library. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is a reading room on the second floor, and only books are borrowed on the first floor. There are also many books and some publications in the reading room on the second floor, but you can only read them and not borrow them.
When I entered high school, my classmates borrowed foreign classics, but I was fascinated by detective novels, such as unsolved mysteries of the world, unsolved mysteries of the earth, unsolved mysteries of mankind, and martial arts novels. Of course, I still occasionally read some famous works, such as Oliver Twist, Jane Eyre, Two Wan Li in the Underwater World, If you give me three days of light, etc. When I was a freshman in high school, it was time to turn off the lights in the dormitory at night, so I hid under the bed with a flashlight and watched Sherlock Holmes. Obviously, I was scared to death, but I still couldn't help my curiosity. I often see it at one or two in the morning the next day. Senior two is obsessed with literary works of poetry, such as An's Life as First Seen, Only Tao is Ordinary at that time, and Thinking Innocent.
Later, students felt that there were not enough books in the library, so they rented books outside the school to read. There are many bookstores near the school. All the books are rented for ten cents a day, which is fairly cheap. At that time, girls also watched all kinds of romance. Romantic novels are quite popular at this time. Famous writers include Ming Xiaoxi, Jing M.Guo, Anne Baby and, of course, Han Han, who is good at reasoning. I guess I was an exception. I never rent romance novels. I like to listen to my friends' retelling, such as "Angels will love you for me", "Cold life, can we not be sad" and "A sad river". As far as I remember, I only rented two books to read. One is the Secret History of Qing Palace written by unknown people, and the other is Tianya Mingyue Knife written by Mr. Gu Long. Unexpectedly, this martial arts novel was later made into a TV series, and the plot changed too much to disappoint me.
Later, I entered senior three as scheduled. Every day is a variety of exercises and papers, where there is still time to read books. We are either studying every day or walking on the road of learning, and time always feels insufficient at this moment. No one wants to talk about books that have nothing to do with textbook exams. ...

Later, I went to school again, and everyone went their separate ways and entered different universities. I think university is really a place for people to learn. Every corner of the big library is full of calligraphy and books, and there are all kinds of books for you to choose from. After four years in college, I read more books and the classification is rather chaotic. There are novels, essays, poems ... more books are about history.
Time flies, time flies, and four years of college life is fleeting. In a blink of an eye, I worked for another year. I read fewer books than before this year. Is it that the more relaxed and casual the environment, the less people have the pleasure and desire to learn? Or maybe it is to correct the old saying that "books cannot be read unless borrowed"? I think more often than not, I lack the quiet and pure state of mind when I was studying, and instead, I am impetuous and lack of faith.
In this materialistic society, many people are in a state of confusion and seeking, and it is in this autumn of confusion and news that people are prone to whirlpool, which easily leads to people falling into real materialism and never being satisfied. Where is the time to enjoy the spiritual world? At present, taking economic development as the center is everyone's default "hidden rule" for survival, and even the earth is powerless to stop this inevitable trend. So, how many people are willing to spare their time to read a few "light books"?
However, all human social activities still depend on people to write and leave them to future generations to evaluate. In that case, why not stop running around, sit still and read a good book or two?
