I was ignorant at that time, but the winding mountains and rivers were drawn all the way like a scroll.

Transportation
External Transportation Guilin is a famous overseas tourist city, and there is no doubt that transportation is convenient whether at home or abroad. Guilin Liangjiang International Airport has all-weather flights from all over the world and overseas, making it suitable for those who pursue travel efficiency. Friends who pursue cost-effectiveness can choose to travel by train. There is no subway in Guilin for internal transportation. To go out, you usually take taxis, buses, scenic area shuttles, etc. For convenience, you can choose to rent a car and drive yourself. Self-driving is a good choice. Of course, if you are not familiar with the road conditions, you can choose to rent a car to play. It takes about an hour to drive from Guilin to Yangshuo. When we drove to Yangshuo, the road conditions were not very good. Due to highway reconstruction, high-speed driving is not possible, so the average speed switches between 60 and 80 yards. When the bus was about to arrive in Yangshuo, the scenery along the way began to change. The view in the distance is not an open road, but endless mountain peaks. The rugged peaks are so beautiful that they seem like screens blocking the road.

Guilin is the peak tourist season all year round. There is a saying that "there is little snow in three winters, but flowers bloom all year round." Of course, April to October is the best travel season, and I happened to be in the hottest month of August. I'm sweating profusely every day when I go out, and it's cool at night. It was already evening when we drove to Yangshuo, and then we drove directly to the most famous street in Yangshuo to eat. "West Street" is a foreigner's street full of Western color. Everyone who has been to Yangshuo West Street feels like going home. As China's first foreigner street, the largest "foreign language corner", a veritable "global village" and "West Street", it has caused the cloning of many tourist cities and attractions in China. Stone road, Guibei folk houses, bars, restaurants, hotels, folk artists, tourist souvenirs, rock climbing bars, tourists of all kinds, etc. "West Street" has it all.
Most of the bars, restaurants, Internet cafes, and handicraft shops here are decorated in a combination of Chinese and Western styles, with signboards in foreign languages. Waiters in craft shops, restaurants, bars, ordinary residents, and even the old lady selling fruit on the street can all speak fluent English, which gives West Street an exotic feel. In every corner of West Street, you will often see groups of tourists of different colors sitting around the street drinking beer, drinking coffee, playing and chatting, as well as Chinese mothers and fathers from Western European countries who are not subject to local family planning restrictions. Speaking of Guangxi food, I think the first impression that comes to many people’s minds is snail noodles and Guilin rice noodles. However, Guangxi cuisine is not limited to these two. Beer fish is a famous local specialty in Yangshuo. Yangshuo's beer fish is made from fresh large fish from the Li River in Yangshuo, first fried with tea oil, and then braised in Liquan beer from Guilin. It has a unique crisp-tender flavor.

A local friend in Yangshuo told me that if I want to eat the original beer fish, I have to go to Sister Xie or the chef. I like spicy food, so I chose Sanjie Xie. Three and a half kilograms of fish filled a large pot, and the two of them finished the fish only after they were full. The portion is really too big. Osmanthus is the flower of Guilin, and it is also a piece of osmanthus in Guilin. The fragrance of osmanthus can be smelled everywhere. Therefore, Guilin's sweet-scented osmanthus cake is also quite famous. How can you miss the sweet-scented osmanthus cake when you come here? The crystal clear osmanthus cake carries the fragrance of osmanthus. The iced osmanthus cake is soft and sweet in the mouth, making people want to stop.
The sister street of West Street - Yitian West Street
The style of Yangshuo Yitian West Street continues the small green tiles, pitched roofs, whitewashed walls, hanging balconies, and stone slabs of northern Guangxi. On Yitian West Street, which is full of literature and art, there is a Sky City - Cat's Online Celebrity Bookstore. A bookstore warms a city. Cat Sky City is not like a post office but for sending letters and postcards. It is not like a cafe but for selling coffee. It is a kind of fashion and a mix and match. Its most famous selling point is "teleporting into the future." You can put greeting cards and love letters addressed to yourself or relatives and friends in mailboxes marked with different years or dates. On that day, the store clerk will help you deliver it.

Roading in the beautiful scenery of the Li River
Guilin is smart and beautiful. When you come to Guilin, you naturally want to visit the Li River. There are generally two ways to travel on the Li River. One is to take a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, and the other is to visit the highlight section of the Li River, that is, the "Nine Horse Painting Mountain" on the back of the 20 yuan RMB to the end of the Yangshuo section of the Li River.
To see the essence of the Lijiang River, you can come to Yangdi, pack a bamboo raft, and you can see the beautiful pictures of the Lijiang River. While paddling the raft, Uncle Zhu explained to us how this mountain was thought of and what that mountain looked like. When we arrived at the famous scenic spot on the Li River - "Nine Horse Painting Mountain", the bamboo raft uncle told us: it was popular in the old days. If anyone can tell that the eight horses on the hill are the number two, and the nine horses are the number one champion. We were counting horses all the time.
The end point of the rafting is the pattern on the back of the 20 yuan RMB. Many people will spend 20 yuan here to compare and take photos. Once I got here, I joined this huge shooting team.
On the edge of the Li River, I can pretend to be a sister from an ethnic minority, take photos with the water of the Li River, put on red Miao costumes, curl my hair, put on headdress and neck ornaments, and listen to " chanting sutras”. There is also a Grandpa Cormorant by the Li River. Grandpa paddles a bamboo raft and sets up a stall along the Li River with two cormorants every day. It only costs three yuan to take a photo with grandpa's cormorant. Grandpa will help carry the cormorant-tying pole on his shoulders, and then he can click and take pictures.
Grandpa’s props are still very complete. If there are no tourists wearing hats to take photos with the cormorants, grandpa will help them put on hats, which will make them more in tune with the simple scenery.
Guilin not only has mountains and rivers, but also unique caves
There are several caves in Guilin and Yangshuo, such as Yinzi Cave, Qixing Cave, Julongtan, and Julongtanli. Not far from the end of the Yangshuo section of the Li River, it is the only cave that offers both water and land tours, which is different from previous cave experiences. Last year, I went to the ancient scenic spots in Sanya and Lijiang. As a Guangxi native, there are ancient scenic spots in my hometown and I must visit them. Before I arrived at the park, I saw Sister Liu's head standing at the gate in the distance. The statue is as peaceful as the one in the movie. The scenic spot has been playing Guangxi's unique folk song "Folk Song Like Riverside Water", which makes people feel the strong Guangxi's unique national customs as soon as they enter the door.
Guilin’s ancient scene area is like the Peach Blossom Spring written by Tao Yuanming. In Yangshuo Village here, the aroma of Guilin chili sauce made by my aunt’s pickle shop fills the entire alley. In my sister's embroidery workshop, there are Zhuang embroidery accessories unique to Guangxi, and each stitch is embroidered with beautiful flower patterns. Dad's toy store has all kinds of gadgets that children like.
This street is full of wonderful fun, and the upside-down house kept us playing in it for a long time. The Haunted House is an experience point that can be found in the ancient love scene. Five people entered it in groups, and a young lady I didn’t know kept holding my backpack along the way. The young lady’s screams echoed through the haunted house. The haunted house in Guilin is a little scarier than the haunted house in Lijiang.
The flash of ancient love always makes us look forward to it. You can get up close and personal with the actors, party together in this world of ethnic customs, drink Guilin Sanhua wine, and watch hydrangeas being thrown in the lottery hall, all of which are full of Guangxi's national colors.
While watching the hydrangea throwing, it suddenly started raining heavily, but the actors of Guilin Ancient Love still braved the rain to perform for everyone. They were not affected by the heavy rain at all, and their performance was still wonderful and received constant applause.

Guilin's ancient love performance vividly shows the love story of the colorful gods and Fubo generals. The Qin army's feat of digging the spiritual canal is inspiring. Fubo and Diecai Mountains on the Lijiang River add a lot of color to the Lijiang River. It is said that these two mountains are the incarnations of General Fubo and Diecaixian. General Fubo and Diecaixian came to the world from heaven and were attracted by the beautiful scenery of the Li River. They stayed here and lived with the locals.
One day, the evil dragon captured Diecaixian and the locals, and threatened General Fubo to hand over the artifact. In order to protect the local people and the Diecai Fairy, General Fubo destroyed his magic, died with the evil dragon, and finally turned into a Diecai Fairy standing on the bank of the Li River. She also followed General Fubo into Diecai Mountain, which together with Fubo Mountain reflects the Li River water in this bay and will never be separated. This is the beautiful legend of Fubo and Diecai Mountain.
After Qin merged with the Six Kingdoms, Qin Shihuang invaded Baiyue in the south in order to open up Lingnan and unify China. Due to the resistance of the local ethnic groups, he was unable to enter the pass for three years and it was difficult to allocate military pay. Qin Shihuang ordered Yu Shilu to be in charge of military supplies and supervise the soldiers and civilians to build artificial canals between the Xiangjiang River and Lijiang River in Xing'an to transport food and expenses. The Lingqu canal was built completely by hand, and the conditions were difficult. You can imagine the hardships involved. The officers and soldiers of the Qin Army who built Ling Canal couldn't help but shed tears because they were not accustomed to the climate and the soil, worked hard, suffered from illness and death.
The soldiers who built the Lingqu canal grew up eating snacks and wheat flour. Fighting in the south and in the north, they were not accustomed to the local environment, and their homesickness made them miserable. In a difficult environment, what the soldiers longed for most was to eat another bowl of noodles from their hometown. Rice is grown in the south, where can I find noodles? The beauty of the ancient town
Xingping Ancient Town is known as a shining pearl on the Li River. The back of the 20 Yuan RMB is in Xingping. Most of the ancient buildings with various brick structures are well preserved. The best preserved ancient stage has unique architectural style, exquisite craftsmanship, exquisite design, elegance and solemnity, smooth carpentry skills, and high cultural relic value. Lion dancing, dragon dancing, and opera singing are the traditional cultural activity centers of Xingping Ancient Town, with performances of Gui Opera, Peking Opera, colorful tunes, and folk songs.
Xingping Ancient Town existed as early as the Three Kingdoms period and is also under the jurisdiction of Yangshuo. Fenwuwa Stone Hutong is a reflection of Xingping. The current ancient town is not large in scale, with a flat old bluestone road.
