Shepherd boy

The grass shop is six or seven miles away from the field, and the flute makes the night wind three or four times.

Come back from a full meal at dusk and lie in the moonlight without taking off your hemp fiber.

Shepherd boy, whose life story is unknown, was born in the late Northern Song Dynasty. See Song Ruanyue's Poems of the Queen of the Turtle, Volume 40, Fairy Gate, and Poem of Cai Taishi in the Western Qing Dynasty) and say, "Zhong is weak, Weng Shuaiping is arrogant, which leads the yellow calf to stand under the court from the shepherd boy. The weak man, on the other hand, refers to the shepherd boy and says,' Can a Taoist give this?' He smiled and said, "If you don't bother me, you can do it. The shepherd boy wrote a big book and said,' Caodian Hengye ...' "Zhong Weak Weng, whose real name is Fu, was born in Leping, Raozhou (now Leping, Jiangxi). He was recommended to be an official in Lanzhou as a scholar. During the reign of Zhezong Shaosheng, he was awarded a bachelor's degree in Longtuge for his meritorious service in breaking Xixia. He was demoted many times because of false reporting of border work and other reasons.

The first two sentences say grazing. The first sentence is about the richness of pasture. "Pave" is a verb, as opposed to "get", which means that the grass grows thick. Yokono refers to the vast Yuan Ye, while Yoko describes the width of the grassland. "Grass covered fields" means that the vast Yuan Ye is covered with green grass. "67 Li" describes the length of the grassland, which shows that the grassland is both broad and far away. The second sentence is about the happiness of the shepherd boy. "Get" means playing, and "get" means playing the flute. Because of the need of rhythm, it is not called "playing the flute" here, but "playing the flute". "Three or four sounds" describe the intermittent flute sound when the evening breeze blows, which can be heard when there is wind, but not when there is no wind. Playing the flute is a traditional image to describe the herding life of a shepherd boy. For example, the last two sentences of Lei Zhen's poem "Village Night" collected in this volume: "When the shepherd boy returns, he crosses the cow's back and the piccolo plays without a cavity." Reading related poems together will deepen our understanding of poetry.

The last two sentences are about the life of a shepherd boy who returns from herding sheep. The third sentence said that the shepherd boy had nothing to do after returning from grazing, and the last sentence said that all the shepherd boy had to do was sleep, and he didn't even bother to take off his hemp fiber. In this way, the free life of the shepherd boy can be imagined. "Hemp fiber" is a kind of clothes made of palm leaves or straw, which can prevent rain and dirt.

This poem was written for Zhong Wei Weng, the frontier commander. The free and carefree grazing life described in the poem is in sharp contrast with the official life of fighting for fame and gain and intrigue, and also reflects the life pursuit of some intellectuals living outside the officialdom to some extent. This poem describes the life of a shepherd boy so leisurely and carefree, which obviously has idealistic elements, but the life content described in the poem comes from real life, so it can attract readers' attention.
