The legend of Tianfeng Tower

Ningbo faces the rough East China Sea and is the intersection of the Yongjiang River, the Yaojiang River and the Fenghua River. One year, a troublemaking shark spirit appeared out of Zhaobaoshan, Zhenhai. From then on, Ningbo was often flooded and hit by waves, making it extremely unstable. At that time, there was an old stonemason in Siming Mountain. He hated the turtle spirit very much when he saw it doing evil things.

One morning, he suddenly saw golden light shining on the top of Siming Mountain, so he climbed to the top of the mountain and saw that it was a bright red gem shining there. So he spent seventy-seven and forty-nine days chiseling the gem into a sparkling orb. On this day, the turtle spirit came again to cause trouble and flooded the city of Ningbo. The old stonemason came down from Siming Mountain and took this dazzling orb. As soon as the turtle fish spirit saw the sword-like light, it fled to the bottom of the sea. And this precious light finally killed it. In an instant, the waves on the river were calm and the sea water receded. The old stonemason was determined to build a tower in the center of Ningbo to preserve this orb. After hearing about it, the people came to participate one after another. Moving rocks and sand and mud, we worked day and night. The craftsman who built the tower packed the mud and sand bag by bag, built a layer of tower, and piled a layer of sandbags. The next year the tower was completed, and the orb was placed on the highest layer. From then on, the tower and the orbs on it were used to suppress evil.

Nursery Rhymes of Tianfeng Pagoda

Tianfeng Pagoda has eighteen grids. The Tianfeng Pagoda was built in the Tang Dynasty. The sand and mud piled up to form the tower. Master Lu Ban would be stunned. Poems of Tianfeng Pagoda "Climbing the Tianfeng Pagoda" Dong Xun (Yuan Dynasty)

Climbing the dangerous pagoda by ten steps can be climbed by experts from the sky. Qianxun rings around Xiaoguo, and a few flowers overwhelm the spring mountain. The bird stands steady on the edge of the fence, and the soles of the clouds are free. Ten years later, the scenery begins to bloom. The nameless Tianfeng Pagoda is in Mingzhou, and I am still tired when I take my leisure time to climb there; I raise my eyes to look up at the silver man approaching, and I can see a hundred clouds floating on my chest. Three thousand realms away from the sea and the universe, twelve stories above the wind and dust; Suddenly I heard the bell ringing below, and I looked back at the stars hanging on the eaves.
