The purpose of Yan Ge's parallel writing

The purpose of Yan Ge's parallel prose is to show the sufferings of soldiers in battle, and at the same time express the poet's satire and resentment against the generals for underestimating their enemies and dereliction of duty. Yan Geling's poems describe the life of frontier soldiers, focusing not on ethnic contradictions, but on the different reality between soldiers and generals, satirizing and resenting generals who are not sympathetic to soldiers.
