The ancient poem "Climbing Feilai Peak" has the following pinyin:

fēi lái shān shàng qiān xún tǎ, wén shuō jī míng jiàn rì shēng.
Flying to the Qianxun Pagoda on the mountain, I heard the rooster crow and saw the sun rising.
bú weì fú yún zhē wàng yǎn, zhǐ yuán shēn zài zuì gāo céng.
Don’t be afraid of floating clouds covering your eyes, because you are at the highest level.
Translation:
There is a tower towering into the clouds at the top of Feilai Peak. I heard that you can see the rising sun when the rooster crows.
I am not afraid of layers of clouds blocking my distant view, just because I stand on the top of Feilai Peak, climb high and look far, and have a broad mind.
Poem Appreciation
The first sentence of the poem describes the height of the ancient pagoda on the peak and the height of one's own footing. The second sentence cleverly depicts the glorious scene of the rising sun seen on the tower, showing the poet's vitality and full confidence in the future. The last two sentences of the poem follow the first two sentences to describe the scene, discuss and express emotions, making the poem both vivid and profound in philosophy. The ancients often worried about floating clouds blocking the sun and evil ministers covering the wise, but the poet added the word "not afraid". It shows the poet's courage and determination to be far-sighted in politics and not afraid of evil.
