What is the difference between the history of Tang poetry and ancient Tang poetry?
The Tang Dynasty (AD 6 18-907) was the heyday of the development of classical poetry in China. There are 50~60 famous poets with unique styles, exceeding the sum of all previous dynasties. This is the biggest poetry feast that has never been seen in China's history. This book not only describes the history, songs and dances, customs and methods of singing Tang poems, but also selects 108 famous Tang poems, and makes detailed comments and analysis on each poem. In terms of arrangement style, this book breaks the traditional practice of selecting Zuo You's Poems, and arranges according to the two clues of Tang poetry history and Tang poetry analysis, so as to facilitate readers to read Tang poetry in the context of Tang Wenhua. Over the years, undergraduates of Chinese Department in Chinese universities in China have generally read about 40 Tang poems.
