In compulsory education and compulsory courses in senior three, students have accumulated a considerable amount of poetry reading. Compulsory education needs 240 poems and essays from ancient times to the present. Although there is no prescribed number of compulsory courses in senior high school, it also puts forward suggestions on reading, which is a good foundation for improving students' reading and appreciation ability of poetry and prose. However, elective courses should not only be satisfied with this, but should further expand the reading volume and expand the reading surface. We should realize that without a certain amount of reading, it is impossible to significantly improve our reading appreciation ability; With a certain amount of reading, we can enjoy reading in the interrelation of many works, in the comparison from multiple angles, and in the vertical and horizontal "work chain". Song Ci and Yuan Qu can also be compared.
Second, the emphasis of appreciation is on works, rather than the knowledge of appreciation theory and literary history. This series of elective courses is the reading appreciation course of poetry and prose works. Students are faced with complete works and life full of artistic power.
