This poem was written when the author was demoted to Qianzhou. It writes about his broad mind of not surrendering to fate in a poor and dangerous situation; mainly through the Double Ninth Festival, it expresses an optimistic and energetic spirit of getting stronger when old, poor and strong.

The first two sentences of the film describe the climate in central Guizhou to illustrate the harsh environment of being relegated.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival in Guizhou, it rains continuously and the ground is covered with water. People can only stay indoors all day long and it is difficult to go out for activities. Not talking about the bitter rain, but through the metaphors of "a leaking sky" and "like riding a boat", it vividly shows that Qiulin is more than just a situation that makes people unbearable. "Riding in a boat" if the river is noisy by wind and rain, there is a risk of capsizing the boat. Therefore, the metaphor "like taking a boat" means staying at home, and it also alludes to the dangerous environment. When combined with the word "Wanli", I feel like I am nostalgic for my country. The next three sentences are a turn, writing about the clearing of the Double Ninth Festival and the drink from a high altitude. Speaking of Chongyang Tianji, the two function words "jizhi" and "ye" are used to echo the mediation, which means unexpected and overjoyed. It has been a long rain and it has cleared up, and it is a festive season. It is really a blessing. So he forced out the word "drunk". "Beyond the Ghost Gate and in front of the Shujiang River" echoes "Wanli Qianzhong", pointing out the place to celebrate the Double Ninth Festival. "Guimen Pass" is Shimen Pass, located in the east of Fengjie County, Sichuan Province today, with two mountains sandwiched together like the gate of Shu. The word "patting the shoulder" in the last sentence comes from Guo Pu's "Poetry on Traveling Immortals" "Right patting Hongya shoulder", which means tracking.
