What is the cultural background of the development of modern Syrian literature?
/kloc-At the end of 0/9, under the influence of modern Egyptian culture and European cultural renaissance, Syrian literature gradually developed. Writer Abdal-Rahman-Kawakibi (1854- 1902) wrote works such as "The Essence of Autocracy" and attacked Turkish tyranny. Brajil Delale (1836- 1892) called on the Syrian people to overthrow Turkish rule in his long poem Throne and Temple. Francis maras's novel The Jungle of Truth (1835- 1873) expresses people's demands for freedom, liberation and building a new world. The writer and poet Ishaq (1856- 1885) enthusiastically praised human dignity and freedom in his poems and works, and he also translated and introduced some European literary works. These writers and poets are the pioneers of Syrian cultural revival.
