How can I write a poem about myself?

It is hard to say what is a good example of autobiographical poetry, because you always assume that poetry is poetic: poets may use first-person narrators with autobiographical details, but in order to create more powerful works, they will make up, exaggerate or modify the facts in other ways.

You may want to look up confessional poets, whose poems are famous for their autobiographical details and first person. The most famous are robert lowell, Sylvia Plath and anne sexton.

Generally speaking, if you want to write poetry, it may be helpful to consult the guidance of simile, metaphor, meter, harmony and other poetic skills.

There are still some opinions that I seem to say often, away from the saying "I am/I feel". This is not a crazy lie game. There is always a more emotional way to express this sentence, rather than saying it directly.

Don't try to save face If you want to say something, just say it, don't hesitate. There is no point in trying to bleed on the page. What is lacking is used bath water.

Don't rhyme unless you need to plan the beat or rhythm. Few poets can successfully use one without using the other. Unless you think you are as good as T.S. Eliot, your ending may not be very good. It will make you feel forced and unnatural. On the contrary, we should make rhythm and rhyme suitable for poetry, not the other way around.

Always ask yourself, "What does this sentence mean besides the literal meaning?" If the answer is "no", then you may not have written a poem. You wrote an outline of a poem. Prose is rarely poetry.

You know, many bad poems are written under the banner of "poetry indulgence". In the final analysis, the author's job is to connect thoughts and emotions with readers. If your readers are confused, don't try to explain that they "should see" the poem, or what the "background story" is, or something like that. Find out the reason why they are confused and solve the problem. If you find yourself having to explain your article, you should write a better article.

Don't say what only five words in 10 can say. Simplicity is the soul of wisdom. Don't try to criticize yourself, write. There is no need to ask yourself whether your writing is "good" or "bad". Let critics write reviews. Your job is to write a poem, and this is its beginning and end. So write decisively, oddly and honestly. If you do this, your work will be finished.

Don't worry about your poems. Art does not have to be beautiful; This must be true. Freedom to allow yourself to fail. Adventure is inherently dangerous. But sometimes walking out of the cabin door is the only way to see if you have wings. On the way down the mountain, you may be surprised at yourself.
