Why were there no poets in Ming and Qing Dynasties?

This statement is not correct. There are many great poets in Ming and Qing Dynasties, which only shows that there are no great poets in Tang and Song Dynasties in Qing Dynasty.

Gao Qi in the early Ming Dynasty, Yang Shen in Wang Shizhen in the middle period, and Fu She students in the late Ming Dynasty all had some excellent works, but the overall level was worse than that in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties.

The Qing dynasty was much better than the Ming dynasty, especially Nalan in the early Qing dynasty, Gong Zizhen in the middle period, some poets in Tongguang period and the kings of Nanshe in the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China. Many works are not inferior in Tang and Song poetry circles.
