Poems of the British poet Shelley

Shelley's poems

1. "To Wordsworth"

Poet who eulogized nature, you once shed tears,

< p>See that things pass and never return:

The glory of childhood, youth, friendship and first love,

all fade away like a sweet dream, leaving you feeling sad.

I understand these too. But there is a kind of loss,

Although you understand, only I feel sorry for it:

You are like a lone star, its light shines on

Small boat, in the waves of winter night;

You were once like a stone shelter,

Standing in the sea of ??blind disputes;

In glorious distress you once sang,

Dedicate your song to the God of truth and only—

Now you have abandoned these, I mourn for you,< /p>

Compared with the before and after, they are completely different.

2. "Chapter"

Go! The wilderness under the moon is so dark,

The flowing clouds have swallowed up the dusk The last afterglow:

Go! The night wind will soon collect the night fog,

The silver light of the heaven will be darkened by midnight.

Don’t stay! Time is passing! Everything is shouting:

Go! Don’t make your lover miserable with parting tears;

She is cold and frozen Crazy eyes dare not ask you to fall in love.

Responsibility and laziness will make you return to loneliness.

Go, go! Go to your lonely hometown,

Sprinkle painful tears on your desolate hearth,

You can look at Shadows wander like ghosts,

weaving melancholy and joy in my heart.

The fallen leaves of autumn trees will be flying above your head,

The flowers and dew of spring will be shining at your feet:

Not yours The heart, which is the present world, must become cold and quiet.

Then, midnight and morning light, you and tranquility can meet.

The sad clouds at midnight also have their turn to rest:

Maybe the wind is tired, or there is a bright moon in the sky,

It is violent and never stops. The ocean will always stop for a moment;

Everyone who moves, toils, or grieves will have time to rest.

And you will rest in the tomb - but now,

When the vision still fascinates you in the house, the pavilion and the wilderness,

Alas, how can your memories, regrets and reflections be freed from

the brilliance of that charming smile, the music of their conversation?
