How to be a mathematical tabloid in the first semester of primary school

In 2003, as a newly graduated teacher, I should say that I was very lucky. I was fortunate to be baptized by the new round of spring rain.

In my teaching, I found that some students don't like math class; The knowledge in books will not be applied to real life; The hands-on ability is not very strong. In view of these problems, in my continuous study and practice, I try to evaluate students' homework by encouraging them to do distinctive homework. The main purpose is to make students change the previous single assignment evaluation mode, stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics, enhance their hands-on ability, and enhance their self-confidence in learning mathematics, so that students can truly feel that mathematics is everywhere in their lives and that mathematics is around us.

Let me talk about the experience I have gained in the practice and exploration in the past four years and communicate with you.

First, the basis before the establishment.

I thought a lot about it before I started the mathematical tabloid. First of all, I deeply studied the curriculum standards, according to the fact that mathematics comes from life and serves life; There are ideas such as mathematics everywhere in life to guide students to set up mathematical tabloids.

Since the first grade, I have instructed students to set up mathematical tabloids and make plans according to their knowledge needs, practical ability and age characteristics of students of different ages. In the first grade, with the guidance of teachers and the help of parents, I chose to cut and paste pictures related to mathematics in my life. Parents help paste it on 8-inch cardboard. In the second grade, students can slowly try to find pictures from their own lives and cut and paste them on cardboard, or try to write the collected materials in the corresponding columns of tabloids by themselves or with the help of their parents, and try to design and color their own lace. In the third grade, students can design their own layouts, borders, columns and contents. Students can consult books by themselves. In the fourth grade, because students have the ability of the first three years, students can not only consult books, but also use modern means and online search to collect information about mathematics.

In terms of content, I demand that students' tabloids be wider and richer in content, including stories of mathematicians, discoveries of mathematical theorems, some interesting mathematical phenomena, interesting mathematical knowledge, challenging mathematical problems, Olympic platform and so on. Write and draw what they think they have done well in their studies, such as clever problem-solving methods and deep thinking about a problem.

In form, I advocate that it can be varied, but it should be standardized and personalized. Since it is a newspaper, let it look like a newspaper. I plan to let students know the general layout of newspapers through the observation and analysis of Daqing Evening News, Daqing Education News and other newspapers. However, norms do not mean sameness. I advocate that student newspapers should have their own personality. First of all, they should register a distinctive personality that is loud and unforgettable. Students, I have come up with many wonderful and good names. I provided students with several names, such as "Mathematical World", "Wonderful Mathematics", "Mathematical World", "Mathematical Paradise", "Mathematical Intelligent Express", "Mathematical Dawn", "Mathematical Magnifier", "Wonderful Mathematics" and so on. In addition, I also intend to let students make their own personality and style in the specific arrangement.

After the students start the mathematics tabloid, it is more important to read the newspaper. I plan to design and conceive their own tabloids at the beginning of each month. After the students sign up, I will design a monthly class exchange class at the end of each month to show the better works one by one. However, due to the large class size and limited class space, I designed a "math wall newspaper area" and posted these tabloids on the class wall so that they could read each other's books.

Second, the establishment process of mathematical tabloids.

Textbooks are not only good learning tools for students, but also a good source for us to set up mathematical tabloids. I have taught two classes. From the first year of teaching, I advocated students to run a mathematics tabloid. At the beginning of the first year, because students just started school, their hands-on ability is not very strong. The students are very confused about running a math tabloid. They don't know where to start and how to do it. So I asked students to observe the layout and mode of Daqing Education News and Daqing Evening News first, and then make a math tabloid for their reference, so that students can create according to their style. In the first grade, I instructed my students to determine the title of a tabloid called "Kingdom of Mathematics", and then design a tabloid column based on what they learned this month. Columns can include stories of mathematicians, interesting mathematics, mathematical stories, mathematical games and so on. Parents can help students find these corresponding contents and related pictures when they go home. I will use the computer to design the layout for students, print it on 8 pieces of paper and send it to students. Then students help to color these borders and tabloid titles, and then students write the information their parents helped to find in the corresponding columns, and the corresponding pictures are cut and pasted in the tabloid with the help of their parents, so that the layout looks beautiful and beautiful. When it's done, they'll hand it in.

After the students finish running the mathematics tabloid, I use the Monday afternoon of the last week of each month to hold an "exchange and exhibition class" on time, which I will preside over, show very good works on the physical projection, explain what is good, and evaluate the students from the aspects of content design, layout design and column design. And let students talk about what they should strengthen, which greatly stimulated students' interest in learning mathematics. After the first exhibition in the class, many students were very inspired and began to conceive, organize and run a math tabloid for me to show in the class. I satisfied the students' wishes and evaluated their tabloid and reflective learning spirit. In order to let more children see the works of the whole class, I put the tabloids made by my classmates on the wall of the class as a wall newspaper, so that my classmates can enjoy other people's works in their spare time. Greatly enhanced students' self-confidence in learning mathematics. In the first two times, students and parents completed the task of clipping tabloids. Slowly, some students can collect pictures by themselves, cut and paste pictures by themselves and consult some materials. Some students refused to help their parents when they wanted to finish it. They said to their parents, "Mom, I can do it myself. You don't have to help me." Just trust me! " Equal word.

After the establishment of the first-grade mathematics tabloid, most students' mathematics tabloids in the class have basically taken shape, and every "exchange and exhibition class" in the class has held an exhibition, which has achieved good results.

By running a mathematics tabloid in grade one, students have a strong interest in mathematics, and the number of students who actively participate in answering questions in mathematics classes has increased significantly. They looked forward to it one by one, waved their hands and shouted, "teacher, call me, I can solve this problem;" I will, teacher. I'll answer! In the process of running a mathematical tabloid, many children made up many mathematical stories with clipped pictures. In the column of "Math Stories", some children write well. For example, a child wrote that on Sunday, the weather was very sunny, birds were singing in the sky, rabbits were playing on the grass, and mother monkey went up the mountain to pick peaches for the little monkey. Mother picked many peaches and distributed them. Sister monkey has three peaches, two for brother monkey, 1 for the youngest brother monkey. Children, do you know how many peaches Mother Monkey picked? Please see the next issue of the tabloid for the answer. Students ask and answer mathematical questions in short stories, which greatly improves students' ability to ask and solve problems. At the same time, students also cut and paste pictures of peaches in tabloids, which greatly improved their hands-on ability.

Senior one did an annual report, and when he got to senior two, he began to put it down slowly. Students can choose their favorite tabloid topics. Many children have beautiful names, such as "Mathematical Kaleidoscope", "Wonderful Mathematics 123", "Mathematical Wandering", "Mathematical Surfing" and "Mathematical Encyclopedia". I also let the students do it themselves. I found the origin of "multiplication sign" and "division sign" in my column. The contents are as follows: The multiplication sign "×" was first used by an English mathematician more than 300 years ago. Because multiplication is a special addition, he inclined the plus sign to represent multiplication. Do you know that?/You know what? More than 300 years ago, a Swiss first used the division symbol \ ". Separate two points with a horizontal line, just to show the average score. There are many such examples. As long as students find it in their lives, they will take the initiative to write it in their math notebooks. After collecting information, students can design their favorite columns, and some children's columns are very creative. For example, I don't need a computer to design and print pages. Students can finish the design independently, and parents can help them finish what they can't. You can draw some patterns that match the content and color the layout yourself. For example, some children have a story of 0 and 8 in the column of "Moment of Mathematics Relaxation", and one day, 0. Sample, aren't you a belt better than me in Dozza? "Students draw cartoons of 8 and 0 at the bottom of this story, humanizing 8 and 0, and drawing eyes, nose and mouth, which is very interesting. After students set up tabloids, they still let students communicate with each other and read newspapers once a month. At this time, some students in the class spontaneously wanted to replace me as the host of this exchange class, and some children were already able to host half of it.

Through the process of running a mathematics tabloid in the second grade, students have expanded their extracurricular mathematics knowledge. For example, some students learned how they worked hard in the ocean of mathematical knowledge by investigating the deeds of mathematicians, and how to study hard also inspired students to learn from them. Another example is "You know what?" In this column, students investigated the origin of some mathematical symbols and theorems, broadened their knowledge horizons, enriched their knowledge range, and learned a lot of knowledge that had no concept at all in the past. Students' horizons are broadened, which is also a kind of promotion for in-class learning. Students' ability to obtain information is also enhanced through their acquisition of extracurricular knowledge. In this process, students consciously collected relevant information around them. In the past, students have read it. Nowadays, many students have developed the good habit of taking notes by running math tabloids. When they see what they need, they will immediately write it down on paper. The process of students designing layout and drawing patterns further cultivates their practical ability.

After two years of running a newspaper, students' knowledge reserve and comprehensive ability have been improved to some extent. In the third grade, my requirements for students to run newspapers have also increased accordingly, requiring students to use 8-fold paper as much as possible, independently design the layout and independently search for information. In addition to consulting the materials related to mathematics in books, students can also collect materials related to mathematics on the Internet, and they can draw their own pictures after collecting the materials. Cut and paste is not allowed. You can draw beautiful lace and beautiful patterns by yourself. Some students are not only beautiful in layout, but also very rich in content. For example, some children designed a math gas station (what is the minimum number? ), oral arithmetic contest (mainly some oral arithmetic problems related to this book), using one's head and hands (matchstick problems), mathematical riddles, challenging the Olympic Games, lianliankan, intellectual swivel chair and so on. Some students made many beautiful patterns after learning symmetry, translation and rotation. They go to life to find relevant pictures and materials, some draw some beautiful patterns themselves, and some design them themselves.

By the third grade, students have already had a certain communication foundation in the second grade. In the third grade, I will use students' competitive psychology to guide students to organize and host "communication and presentation classes" with students with excellent tabloid management and strong language expression and organization skills. Before class, I will instruct the small host to organize the students in the class from the aspects of tabloid layout, content and form. From the content point of view, who do you think is richer, who is novel in form and who is beautiful in layout in the class? Then evaluate who is better as a whole, where are their shortcomings and how to correct them in the future. After a period of trial, students have spontaneously formed study groups, and each group will register with the monitor every week, who will preside over the next "communication and presentation class".

Through the process of running a mathematics tabloid in grade three, students' overall comprehensive ability has been further improved. In the process of running a newspaper, students' language expression ability, organization ability and cooperation and communication ability among groups are cultivated, which further stimulates students' enthusiasm and motivation for learning mathematics.

By the fourth grade, students' ability, knowledge reserve and experience in running newspapers have been greatly improved. On the basis of my ability in the first three grades, I asked qualified students to use computers to make math tabloids, because they had microcomputer classes since the third grade, but they were not very skilled in computer operation at that time. By the fourth grade, they have reached a certain level of proficiency. The original requirements of running a newspaper in terms of content, layout and form can be quickly made by computer, and students can also illustrate and fill colors at will, and the layout is also very beautiful, which further arouses children's interest in learning. At this time, many students have summed up their own personal experience and newspaper running experience, and written these experiences in the mathematics tabloid. Share with you. In the "communication and presentation class" of the class, students have already possessed certain organizational ability and presiding ability in the third grade. This semester, I completely let students organize exchanges, and the monitor chooses the host of each issue to organize the exchange of his own mathematics tabloid and read the newspaper. At this time, I became a student who studied and appreciated their works, although the three-foot platform was occupied by the students in the class, no, exactly.

Next, I will show some fourth-grade math tabloids.

Now the fourth grade is about to end their fourth grade study life, but their comprehensive ability has been greatly improved this year. Students make full use of modern tools to make tabloids more exquisite and practical, and students can form a convenient and simple feeling when solving problems, which can be fully applied to modern teaching methods. Moreover, students have developed the habit of writing learning experiences and reading newspapers.

The more newspapers students hand in, the higher the quality. Some students feel that they are not doing well. Read other people's tabloids, make up for their own shortcomings, and run a tabloid. This shows that students' enthusiasm for running newspapers is getting higher and higher, their interest in mathematics is getting stronger and stronger, and their practical ability is getting stronger and stronger, which has achieved the expected results.

In order to further stimulate students' interest in learning, experience the joy of establishing a mathematical tabloid, improve students' mathematical literacy such as hands-on operation, observation and aesthetics, and also sum up students' comprehensive practical ability at this stage, in the fourth grade, I launched the "Create My own Mathematical Tabloid Competition" in the teaching of two classes. First, I launched a competition to create my own mathematics tabloid in each class. Then I selected the best products in each class, and the best products in both classes were evaluated. Requirements: the mathematical tabloids compiled by tabloids should fully reflect the comprehensiveness of mathematical knowledge and should be illustrated with pictures and texts; After this competition, 15 selected works will be exhibited and the first, second and third prizes will be awarded. In addition, they will also participate in the school's special homework exhibition, which will be displayed in the stormy classroom and received good results. The following are the personal works of this competition.

Third, the improvement of students' ability to run mathematical tabloids.

In the past four years, students' comprehensive ability has been gradually cultivated in the process of running a newspaper, from the initial teacher's guidance and demonstration, parents' help in investigating information and making tabloids, to students' self-consulting books and making tabloids semi-independently, to online information and making tabloids, and finally to students' making tabloids with computers.

(1) enhanced students' ability to consult and collect materials.

In the process of running a mathematical tabloid, students look up more materials and then write their experiences, which enhances their ability to look up materials and gives full play to their autonomy. By running a math tabloid, they formed a good habit of taking notes. When they see some knowledge related to mathematics, they will take notes immediately and keep them for use in establishing mathematical tabloids. In the process of doing homework, it is good to do it right before, and now they will consciously think about how to do it more skillfully. Because they began to think of communicating their good methods and learning experiences with you through math tabloids.

(2) Expand extracurricular knowledge of mathematics and improve students' interest in learning mathematics.

In the teaching process, knowledge in the fields of numbers and algebra is useful, but it is inevitably a bit boring. In class, students only learn the basic knowledge, but not much after class. By running a mathematical tabloid, students have broadened their horizons of mathematical knowledge and learned a lot of knowledge that was not conceptual in the past. At the same time, they not only learned extracurricular knowledge, but also improved their interest in learning mathematics.

(3) Promote the communication ability between students.

In the usual learning activities, we can communicate only when we are confused in class, and there are few opportunities for communication. By running a mathematics tabloid, we provide a platform for students to communicate, and I use the limited conditions of my class to create an infinite communication space for students, where students can communicate everywhere. In each communication demonstration class, students look at each other and learn from each other.

Fourth, in the process of guiding students to run newspapers.

In the past four years, not only students have gained something from running math tabloids, but I have also gained something from running newspapers.

First of all, through students' newspaper activities, the distance between teachers and students has been narrowed. Students not only like running math tabloids, but also like math classes. They like me better. Because of my hoarse voice, I can't attend class for the time being, so other teachers come to class. After class, they rushed to my office and asked the math teacher what happened, why didn't they come to class? Another child wrote in math diary: Math teacher, you are hoarse to give us lessons. You have to take two classes every day and correct your homework, so you must pay attention to protecting your health. We hope you can come to class as soon as possible. Other children gave me a golden throat treasure, and I was really moved to tears.

Secondly, by trying to let students run a mathematical tabloid, the evaluation of students' homework is successful, which is expected to realize my plan and goal of organizing students to run a mathematical tabloid, so that I can learn more about the ideas and concepts of curriculum evaluation through my children's newspaper research activities. It also reminds me to let students write about math diary, write their own feelings and communicate with my big friends.

Thirdly, by running a mathematical tabloid, I have been growing up in research. The success of this research on the evaluation of students' homework can inspire me to devote myself to the research on new topics, so that I can consciously infiltrate activity ideas in future classroom teaching, so that students can always feel the close connection between mathematics and life, and strive to let students discover mathematics from life and apply the mathematics knowledge learned in class to life.

Finally, my math tabloid won unanimous praise in the special homework competition organized by the school and the district. After joining the work in 2002, I advocated students to run a mathematics tabloid. At the end of 2002, my student's mathematics tabloid won the first prize in the school's special homework competition. In 2003, it won unanimous praise in the special operation exhibition held in Saertu District of Daqing City.

I am also particularly proud of running a mathematical tabloid and winning an unexpected prize. Since then, I have also developed a strong interest in math activity classes.

In short, the establishment of mathematical tabloids is a comprehensive practical activity. First of all, students should collect a lot of materials. In the process of selecting materials, they have to consult a lot of books and search a lot of information on the Internet. When students consult books, they learn a lot of knowledge that is not in textbooks. At the same time, they should reorganize and rearrange the materials they read. Secondly, students must design the layout to see which materials are more suitable for where. More beautiful. This in turn cultivates students' aesthetics. Thirdly, in the process of writing drawing tabloids, students' hands-on operation ability is also cultivated. In the process of exchange and demonstration, cultivate students' enthusiasm for participating in mathematics activities.

It is a brand-new attempt for me to set up a mathematics tabloid for students' homework review, and it is also a reflection of curriculum integration. Students can learn mathematics in interest, experience mathematics in operation, appreciate mathematics in design, realize that there is mathematics everywhere in life and love mathematics for life. Students can draw their own feelings, confidence and hope in math learning on an 8-page piece of paper. Therefore, under the guidance of the new curriculum concept, it is right for students to run a beautiful math tabloid.
