Su Shi
The rain washes the east slope and the moon is bright, and pedestrians are exhausted.
Don't be afraid to find the right way to the top of the slope, but love the loud sound of dragging sticks.
This is a poem written by Yuan Feng in the sixth year (1083) after Su Shi was relegated to Huangzhou.
Dongpo is a few acres of wasteland at the foot of Huangzhou Mountain, where the author works, taking posthumous title as his masterpiece. Bai Jie, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote Poems on Planting Flowers in Dongpo and Poems on Walking in Dongpo, Zhongzhou. The author admires Bai Juyi, whose name is Dongpo, and writes the scenery of Dongpo: after the rain, the moonlight is as bright as jade, the sky is high and the clouds are light, and Wan Li is clear. "Savage" refers to the poet himself who is indifferent to fame and fortune. "City people" rush about for fame and fortune during the day, and become tired guests at night, so they have no time to enjoy the wonderful scenery of "the rain washes Dongpo and the moonlight is clear".
