China has the earliest and most complete records on the observation and research of comets. Which dynasty was it?
During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Shi Gan and Qi people (Chu people or Lu people) wrote eight volumes of Tian Wenxing Zhan, and Wei Shishen wrote eight volumes of Astronomy. Later generations combined these two works into one, which is called Shi Gan Jing. They observed the movements of the five planets, namely, gold, wood, water, fire and earth, and found the regularity of their appearance. According to the research of the China scientists' chair, Gander discovered Jupiter's satellite No.3, nearly 2000 years earlier than Italian Galileo and German Maier. The catalogue determined by Gander and Stone God is the earliest catalogue in the world. There are 120 stars in the book, which is relatively accurate according to the current observation results. It is about 200 years earlier than the first catalogue in Europe-the catalogue of Iba Valley in Greece. Shi Gan Xing Jing was selected as the earliest astronomical work in world record association, China.
