Wanfang Data Resource System (China Information) was developed by China Institute of Science and Technology Information and Wan Fang Data Co., Ltd. This database contains a wide range of journals, including academic journals and non-academic journals, and provides full-text retrieval of about 2,000 electronic journals.
All included academic journals have obtained the certificate of "China Core Journals (Selected) Database Source Journals". Individual journals even changed "featured" to "featured" or simply removed it. Many authors mistakenly believe that this is a core journal.
Since 1994, China HowNet has collected 6600 kinds of domestic journals, including academic journals and non-academic journals, covering science and engineering, agriculture, medicine and health, literature, history and philosophy, politics, military and law, education and social sciences, electronic technology and information science, economy and management.
The collected academic journals also serve as "statistical source journals of comprehensive evaluation database of Chinese academic journals". However, the journals included are not comprehensive, and some important journals are not included.
