How to appreciate calligraphy works?

I visited the calligraphy exhibition and enjoyed the following calligraphy works:

1, Qi Yun, a three-foot vertical calligraphy by Li Wenzhi, a national first-class calligrapher.

2. Yu Guoguang's calligraphy Tian Xingjian.

3. Shi Kai's new calligraphy "Qingpingle Liupanshan".

4. Yu Guoguang's new word book "The Book of Advice".

5. Pass on disciple Kong's regular script calligraphy "Home and Everything" personally.

6. Guan Shan's calligraphy "Hui Feng He Chang" by the calligrapher of the State Guest Ceremony.

Basic methods of appreciating calligraphy

A calligraphy work can be appreciated from three angles: brushwork, font and composition. Calligraphy learning is like climbing a mountain. There are thousands of roads from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain.

Look at brushwork: brushwork, that is, this calligraphy work, reflects the line texture, fluency and brushwork in the strokes. A good calligraphy work should be centered and upright.

Look at the font: structure, that is, when calligraphers write calligraphy works, they deal with the collocation of a word frame structure. Whether it is a running script or a cursive script, it should be well-proportioned and the size should conform to the norms of calligraphy.

Look at the composition: the composition is the overall impression of a calligraphy work, and it is the layout arrangement of a Chinese character with the most varieties in the whole calligraphy. Composition includes density layout between words and lines.
