The value of movable type edition

It turns out that the movable type edition of ancient books is a classic printed in China. In Shen Kuo's Meng Qian Bi Tan in the Northern Song Dynasty, the record that "Buyi Bi Sheng" invented movable type printing was only found in primary school textbooks. Why not take the ancient movable type books of past dynasties as a special collection until they are worth ten thousand times? There must be a prophet in the collection line, and a half-step understanding of this early man must come from a deep understanding of typology. As a special collection, ancient movable type books of past dynasties did not begin today. Mr. Zhao, the former counselor of the People's Bank of China and deputy manager of Southeast Bank, has saved a huge sum of money all his life and collected bronze movable-type ancient books in the Ming and early Qing Dynasties. He is an outstanding bibliophile. In his later years, Mr. Zhou Shu, the former vice mayor of Tianjin and a red industrialist, also devoted himself to collecting movable-type ancient books in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In Xie Shishi's will, he donated more than 400 kinds of ancient movable type books to Tianjin Library. Nowadays, Tianjin Library has a large number of rare books such as movable type ancient books and local chronicles, which can rank among the world famous libraries, and Mr. Zhou Shu's donation is even more famous in history. 198 1 year, Tianjin Library compiled movable-type books of ancient books of all ages and became a monograph on movable-type ancient books. Unfortunately, this book contains more than 700 kinds of movable-type ancient books, which are printed in mimeographed thread, and only 200 copies are printed, which is extremely rare in the market. It has been photographed three times in the auction, and all of them have captured 1000 yuan, which shows its preciousness.

Movable type printing, one of China's "four great inventions", had a great influence on world culture. It was Japan and ancient Korea that first imitated Chinese movable type printing. Ancient Korea was rich in refined copper, and printing China classics was regarded as a cultural event by the Korean royal family in past dynasties. Korean Han books have always been valued by domestic scholars, not only because of their large characters, but also because of their few typos, which are close to the original appearance of ancient books. Therefore, in recent years, the price of Korean copper movable type books has increased even more. Movable type books were mostly printed during the Qianlong period, especially in the early Qing Dynasty. King James's Collection of Ancient and Modern Books is a brilliant peak in the history of publishing and printing in China. Before 2000, the average price of King James's Collection of Ancient and Modern Books was from 500 yuan to 800 yuan, and in recent years it has gradually increased to 2,000 to 3,000 yuan per volume. After 2005, this kind of Neifu copper movable type book has a trend of going straight to 5000 yuan. Because of the indecent title of movable type, Emperor Qinglong changed his name to Juzhen Edition, and set up a printing and publishing department in Wuying Hall, which became a miracle in the printing history of China. However, shortly after the release of "Wu Ying Dian Ju Zhen Edition" in the reign of Shi Zai Qing Qianlong, some people copied and reprinted this book with wooden movable type, and fans had to guard against it.

Obviously, the historical proof value of ancient movable-type books in past dynasties far exceeds its historical value as a special collection.
