Sun Wen, a folk painter who was born in the 23rd year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, namely 18 18, devoted his life to painting A Dream of Red Mansions, which can be described as a treasure, and is now in Lushun Museum.
This painting, made in 1867~ 1903, has 230 pictures in total, with a size of 43.3×76.5CM and no inscription, which vividly and intuitively depicts the story of the whole Dream of Red Mansions.
The whole picture is exquisite and skillful, rich in color, and the plot is meticulous, coherent and vivid. There are landscapes, flowers and trees, pavilions, rare birds and animals, cars, ghosts and gods, Bo Gu and other miscellaneous things, covering almost all the contents of Chinese painting.
This paper painted a complete picture of A Dream of Red Mansions (78 pictures).
