Shijiazhuang Library is a national key ancient book protection unit and also a key ancient book protection unit in Hebei Province. Having 6,543,800+0,560 ancient books is a major feature of its collection. Among many ancient books, there are many shining rare books: there are 34 kinds, of which 640 kinds are listed in China ancient books catalogue and more than 600 kinds are listed in Hebei ancient books catalogue. Among them, The Complete Book of Changes, Huang Zhongdai and the Bibliography of Rare Chinese Ancient Books are exclusive collections in China. There are four kinds of books in China, including The Book of Changes, Four Books and Great Articles, Learning from the Forest, and Three Selected Strategies of Newly Carved Su. Learning from the forest and Zeng Xi Shu Ji were included in the catalogue of Sikuquanshu. The manuscript of the Annals of Yanqing County in the late Qing Dynasty is also an orphan. Eight kinds of ancient books were selected into the third batch of national rare books list, and 18 kinds were selected into the first batch of rare books list in Hebei Province. The collection of ancient books in Shijiazhuang Library, whether in total or in rare books, is very valuable in the library circle of Hebei Province. The collection conditions of ancient books in our library are good, with special stacks, camphor bookcases and corresponding supporting facilities. The environment and conditions of the existing ancient books stacks have basically achieved the effects of constant temperature, constant humidity, dust prevention, light avoidance and anti-aging, which has played a great role in protecting the preservation of ancient books.
