This "letter" is explained in Taoism, that is, the magical power of our ancestors was written on paper, silk, wood, stone and other material carriers in the form of "symbols". Through "symbols", people without magic can use the power of their ancestors to achieve the purpose of restraining evil, curing diseases and seeking happiness. Fu is generally divided into three parts: Fu Tou, Fu Bridge and Fu Jiao. These three parts are arranged according to the upper and lower structure and the left and right structure, and different doors have different arrangement forms. Shi Tian's character is up and down. All the drinkers recovered, and those who begged for water walked a long way. Zhang Jixian, the 30th generation of Shi Tian in the Northern Song Dynasty, got a state-owned plague. "People who drink the plague in a big jar will recover." Zhang Maocheng, the forty-fifth generation Shi Tian of Ming Dynasty, encountered a plague epidemic in Hangzhou. "If a book is thrown into a well, the drinker will be cured."
Zhang Jixian, the thirtieth generation of Shi Tian, ruled jiaozi with iron charms in Yanchi, Song Huizong; Zhang Yucai, the 38th generation of Shi Tian, used iron spells to control tides in Yuan Chengzong. Zhang Yuanqing, the 47th descendant of Shi Tian, prayed for rain in the White Elephant Pool of Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty.
Huang Ting's "Avoidance of Divination" records that: Six Jia and Six B can cure ghosts, six Ren and six Gui can avoid fire, six Wu and six Liu can clear water, and six Geng and six can cure lawsuits. These symbols can be burned outside or taken inside, or carried around or hung in the house. Different symbols have different functions. Now commonly used symbols are: five thunder symbols, fortune symbols, town house symbols, exorcism symbols, harmony symbols, pine nuts symbols, amulet symbols, Wenchang symbols, traditional symbols and so on.
Third, how to be spiritual.
Although the external representation of symbols is different because of the inheritance of different factions, there are different painting methods, but the reason is the same. The key to Fu Ling lies in his intention, that is, to put the heavenly soldiers and generals into Fu Qiao, so that all the symbols can become immortal symbols. Just like rebirth, when you have a body, you have a spiritual key. The reason why people can become the spirit of all things is because there is spirit, and spirit is the ID. So is calligraphy. The mage temporarily assigned some officials in his chest to the characters he painted, so that the characters could have spirit, and the spirit is the heavenly soldiers and heavenly generals.
Thus, the symbol of painting should be spiritual. Generally speaking, as long as a Taoist who is given the surname Zuo can draw symbols in a rational and legal way, he must be spiritual. Of course, some faithful calligraphers who have been awarded Wenchang Block are also effective, but they are different in size.
If there are no Taoist priests and no believers, will the calligraphy be invalid? It depends. If you don't have talent, if you want to draw spells, you must practice magic on your own, and it can only be effective if you practice it to a certain extent. In the era of commodity economy, such a monk can't see anything in the mountains, but he can still get the symbols he painted. There is another situation, that is, direct sacrifice to ancestors can borrow some magical powers, but it often takes several generations of sacrifices to be effective. That is to say, they are generally descendants of Taoism. Without authorization, painting symbols may also have spirit.
Whether it is chanting, doing things, drawing symbols, chanting, etc. The essence is the same, that is, the users must be virtuous. Only virtue can best communicate with God. What is virtue? It is to help people as much as possible at ordinary times and do more things that are beneficial to the neighborhood, society and the country. In this way, the gods will naturally understand and the paintings will naturally have spirit.
Taboos for wearing amulets
The spell of the door has been passed down from generation to generation. Represents the order of ghosts and gods, and the natural gas of heaven and earth runs. There are thousands of changes. But it is very difficult to write a good spell. And the damage is also very easy, and the left and right tears are invalid immediately. Of course, such behavior must bear the consequences, and it must not be like this.
Generally speaking, a spell is used for one year, and you need to report back to work after one year of blessing. Some sects say it is three years, and each division has its own laws. Of course, there are also some special spells, such as killing the magic jade for three days, which are used permanently. This is another matter.
First, the use of spells must not exceed the time entrusted by the mage. Even if it exceeds the spell effect, it will slowly disappear.
Second, avoid dirt during use. Instruments and spells are taboo. If they are polluted, they will be damaged immediately.
Third, avoid adding other things in the spell bag at will, or wearing spells to add spells at will.
Fourth, avoid carrying it during sexual intercourse. Although sexual intercourse is a way of combining yin and yang. But filth also comes with it.
5. If it is damaged or illegible due to sweating, it should not be used.
Six, sunflower women should not touch. Just put it in your bag and carry it with you. The filth of begonia will damage the spirituality of spells.
Seven, clean hands when touching, at least keep your hands clean. Don't use magic if you have nothing to do.
Eight, expired, damaged, polluted, it should be a little gold and silver paper to burn away together. Express your gratitude, from beginning to end. If conditions permit, it would be better to offer incense sticks and water wine.
Validity of amulet use
Generally speaking, a spell is valid for one year. Because the effectiveness of blessing will weaken with the passage of time, it is suggested to change the spell once a year and sincerely ask for the protection of the gods. In addition, it depends on everyone's moral cultivation and the difficulty of things. If you do evil, without the help of the gods, your life will usually be shorter.
On the Effective Time of Amulets
Generally speaking, honesty has priorities, just like taking medicine when you are sick. Some get quick results, others get slow results, and the resistance will be complicated and different because of the interference of many bad karma accumulated in previous lives, so the time when the amulet takes effect is different. Some will produce wonderful magical effects within a day or two or a few days after using symbols, while others will be slower, a month or a little longer, and there is no unified time standard. All this depends on how believers behave after they become attached to Buddhism. Deep Buddhism may be effective quickly, while shallow Buddhism may be slow. If they are sincere, they will be blessed by the gods and help the Lord realize his wishes!
