Structure and layout
Wenlan Pavilion is a typical quadrangle building with cultural significance in Jiangnan. The main building, like Tianyi Pavilion in Ningbo, is a two-story building with double eaves and a mezzanine in the middle. It's actually a three-story building.
The main feature of garden layout is to conform to the terrain, properly arrange pavilions, winding corridors, pools, stacked stones and other buildings, and make them interconnected with the help of small bridges. Pavilion Gallery, Pool Bridge and rockery are connected in the park. The layout of all buildings and gardens is compact and elegant, which is quite distinctive.
