Shanghai Library, located in Huaihai Middle Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, is a comprehensive research-oriented public library and industry information center in Shanghai, the Shanghai Branch of the National Cultural Information Resource Sharing Project, the public cultural research base of the Ministry of Culture, and the first batch of national key ancient books protection units.
Shanghai Library was founded in 1952, Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology Information was founded in 1958, Shanghai Library and Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology Information merged in 1995, and the new Shanghai Library was officially opened to the public in1996+February.
By the end of 20 15, Shanghai Library had a building area of127,000 square meters, 36 reading rooms of various types, 24 institutional departments and 75/kloc-0 employees. Description of Shanghai Library:
1. Readers can borrow foreign books, periodicals, newspapers and other documents in the basement on the first floor with their valid reference books and the borrowed Shanghai Library reader's card, and each person can borrow 4 volumes at a time.
After reading the required materials, please go to the comprehensive reading room to read. Please return these books and periodicals to the cashier after reading them and exchange them for your reader's card. Please return the reading materials before 17: 00 every day.
3. If the reference books are not returned before 17: 00 on the same day, if you take the books home, you will be charged a late return fee.
Please take good care of documents and all public property. Please don't annotate, alter, fold, deface, cut or tear pages on the document, and don't take the document out of the reading room. Offenders will be dealt with according to the relevant regulations of Shanghai Library. If readers need to copy materials, please go to the copy point on this floor to make copies. If you need to scan or shoot books and periodicals by yourself for special needs, please fill in the intellectual property protection agreement at the information desk.
5. Please use the power supply in the designated area. Please do not connect the power supply or charge without authorization. Pay attention to the safety of electricity use.
6. Please store books and periodicals (including self-provided books and periodicals), bags (larger than 14 * 20cm), food and other items not in this reading area in the parcel post office.
7. Please abide by the "seven noes" and the borrowing rules of our library and be a civilized reader.
8. If readers have other needs, please consult the staff and the library will serve you wholeheartedly.
9. Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 9:00- 17:00, and national holidays from 9:00- 16:00.
