As the foundation and soul of Su Ju, Suzhou Beach Spring has a long history, profound tradition and rich resources. Su Ju himself is closely related to Kunqu Opera in literature, music, performance and many other aspects.

The source of Su Ju's musical singing is mainly composed of three parts, one is Kunqu Qupai, the other is Nanci, and the third is Tan Chundiao. Influenced by Kunqu Opera, Su Ju's musical style is euphemistic, beautiful, delicate and moving, with a strong flavor of the south of the Yangtze River.

Su Ju's accompaniment takes erhu as the main instrument, and also uses Jiangnan silk and bamboo. There are dozens of traditional tunes commonly used, such as Taiping tune, chord tune, Feijia tune, firewood tune, charming tune, silver twisted wire, running water board, tune and bubble tune, among which Taiping tune is the most widely used, and there are various types of boards such as adagio, Allegro and Sanban.

In addition, there are some songs originated from Kunqu Opera, such as Qu Tou, Jiang Yifeng, Dian Jiang Lip, Yuan Chaoge, Suonan Paper, Liu Moling, Yu Diao Pai Ge and so on.
