What was Lanzhou called in ancient times?

Lanzhou was called Jincheng in ancient times.

According to legend, in the second year of Emperor founding ceremony of the Han Dynasty (12 1), he rode the general Huo Qubing westward, crossed the Yellow River in the southwest of the estuary, and explored the Xiongnu in the west. Later, when I returned to China, I was named Jincheng because I found gold when I was building the city. Another way of saying it is that Lanzhou was located in the west of Chang 'an, the capital city in ancient times, and it was the word "gold" in the five elements.

The ancient "Jincheng" is an important pass in the northwest border, which means that the city will be forever solid and not afraid of the disaster of the city wall. Lanzhou, a golden city with a long history and culture, has become an important channel connecting the Central Plains and the Western Regions because of its special geographical location. In ancient times, there were eight scenic spots in Lanzhou.
