Zhuomao epitaph

Zhuomao tomb. Located in Xitou Village, Hetun Village, Dawei Town, xinmi city City, Henan Province. On March 20th, 2008, when the Cultural Relics Protection and Management Office of xinmi city conducted a general survey of cultural relics, an ancient monument engraved with the words "Han Taifu Yi Guan Zhong" was found from the home of Zhang Quanxi, a villager of Xitou Formation. After identification by local people, the original tomb of the ancient monument was found. According to the Records of Mixian County in Jiaqing period, "Yi Guan Zhong: In front of Zhuo Jun Temple in Dagu Town, it is said that Zhuo Jun was buried with his clothes."

Zhuo Mao was the county magistrate of Mi County (now Xinmi, Henan Province). After Zhuo Mao's death, the people of Mi County set up a cenotaph outside the east gate of the county seat and built Zhuomao Temple to commemorate him. After the county magistrate took office, he went to Zhuomao Temple to worship. The county seat of Sui Dynasty moved to the old city of Xinmi, and people built a second Zhuomao Temple in the old city, offering sacrifices all the year round.

The ancient monument "Han Taifu Yi Guan Zhong" is 0.7 meters high and 0.48 meters wide. The six-character font in the book is vigorous and elegant. It is a rare masterpiece of calligraphy, but there is no inscription and no age on the tablet. According to Guo, an expert on stele carving in xinmi city, this stele is not an original in Han Dynasty, but was made by later generations. Judging from the style of writing, it has the style of Ming dynasty, which may be the inscription of Ming dynasty.
