Description

1. Ding Jing, a seal engraver in the Qing Dynasty. Good gold and stone tablets, fine identification, rich collection. He is good at poetry, calligraphy, and seal engraving based on the seals of the Qin and Han Dynasties. He also absorbed the strengths of He Zhen, Zhu Jian and others, and used the knife method to engrave the seals. There is a circle in the square, vigorous and simple, and he is the leader of the "Eight Xiling Schools" of the Zhejiang School.

This couplet is from the old collection of painter Yang Shanshen. The calligraphy style is based on the essence of Han and Wei dynasty inscriptions, and is made with a pen and seal cutting method. It is rich in epigraphy and stone. It is different from Ding Jing’s usually elegant and graceful calligraphy, and it is even more grand. Du Yonggui.

2. This couplet was collected by Mr. Yang Shanshen, a great Lingnan painter.
