Cultural relic grade

Cultural relics collection is divided into precious cultural relics and general cultural relics.

Precious cultural relics are divided into grade one, grade two and grade three.

Among them,

Representative cultural relics with particularly important scientific, artistic and historical values are first-class cultural relics;

Those with important scientific, artistic and historical values are second-class cultural relics;

With more important scientific, artistic and historical value, it is a third-class cultural relic.

Those with certain scientific, artistic and historical value are general cultural relics.

The first-class cultural relics with the highest level in the collection are divided into two grades: A and B. Only the first-class cultural relics can be called "national treasures".

Whether a cultural relic is first-class or not must be appraised by the National Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee. As for the standard of appraisal, the most important thing is that it must be an important symbol of the development of Chinese civilization. Only with this meaning can it be recognized as a "national treasure".
