Introduction to the Department of Cultural Relics and Museums of Fudan University
Established in 1996, the Department of Cultural Relics and Museums of Fudan University is one of the subordinate departments of Fudan University, which has four directions: cultural relics archaeology, museology, ancient architecture gardens and cultural relics protection, and is also in charge of Fudan University Museum. The teaching staff consists of art, science and engineering professionals. They are young, with a new knowledge structure, and 70% have senior professional titles and doctoral degrees. Students in this department should master the basic knowledge of ancient history, literature and science and technology; Have the basic knowledge of comprehensive evaluation, analysis and appreciation of human cultural heritage; Basic knowledge of cultural heritage protection, development and utilization; Familiar with the main cultural relics types and important cultural relics examples in China; Familiar with the principles, policies and regulations of cultural relics work in China; Understand the international laws and regulations of cultural relics and museum management; Understand the traditional methods and modern scientific and technological knowledge of cultural relics restoration and preservation.
