Why Baidu translation has Cantonese but no Minnan?
Minnan is partly used in Taiwan Province Province, but local dialects such as Minnan, Hakka and Minnan are also spoken in Taiwan Province Province. Mandarin has become the only communication language that China people can understand each other. Compared with Cantonese, Hong Kong and Macau, two important Cantonese exporting countries, are official languages with legal status, while Minnan is not the official language of Taiwan Province Province. The status in Taiwan Province Province is relatively low. Cantonese is a local dialect in the history of Hong Kong and Macao, and Chinese here refers to Cantonese. Hong Kong Cantonese currently represents or is closest to standard Cantonese in pronunciation. In fact, apart from government documents, Cantonese has always been used in Chinese education and TV broadcasting in Hong Kong. Cantonese has always been the de facto official language of Chinese in Hong Kong. The situation in Macao is similar to that in Hong Kong. People's daily life, Chinese education and TV broadcasting are all Cantonese, so Baidu translates Cantonese into major languages.
