At the beginning of 1950, the war ended. In Hangzhou, a picture of mending a quilt is a small piece of paper (34×42 cm), which is judged to have been painted by Liang Jie in the Southern Song Dynasty. It seems that it should be the work after his remaining work "The Splash Fairy Picture", because the painting method of "The Splash Fairy Picture" is as magnificent as the brushwork of a waterfall, and its splash-ink method is simply to roll down with a pen as a broom, so it is not enough to use the brush in his hand. Because his painting style is more refined, the world praises him as a simple pen! Liang abandoned pen and used reed pole; Break the reed pole and dip it in ink to draw! Therefore, from complexity to simplicity, tools are also indulged by painters; This is the origin of Kai Liang's brief figure painting "Stacking Reed".
This kind of figure painting with simple brushwork is not the creation of any quirk, but the artistic style pursued by the painter himself, which must be refined and simplified, which is the artistic means pursued by Liang. Therefore, it is no accident that he found a special tool instead of a pen to express his artistic pride!
We say that tools are used by people, but they are not tools to confirm people's work. As Mr. Lu Xun said, "Road" is made by people! Of course, there are only a handful of explorers who can climb the cliff top, and absolutely no Qian Qian explorer can climb it one after another. Therefore, the people who reach the summit are geniuses, explorers and masters of artists. He is by no means a madman, but there are too many people who don't know him, and no one can pursue his refined and profound artistic realm.
Shi Ke, a Buddhist and Taoist painter in Xishu during the Tang, Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty, has traveled all over the world, and his pen and ink are powerful and magnificent. When he was painting at Suoguo Temple in Bianjing, he met Li Houzhu of the Southern Tang Dynasty. Li Yu earnestly invited him to the Painting Academy, but Shi Ke refused.
If you compare "mending the sky" with Shi Ke's "Two Ancestors' Mind Adjustment", you can win, but you can't lose. His pen and ink are more natural and unrestrained, waving ink like a stick to touch the paper, not sticking to one pattern, just asking for the characters' souls to be in a trance; Fine and undamaged, rough and wide, like a broom flying by; Light ink is like silver fog, while thick ink is like paint. A torn coat was spread out on his leg, and only two strokes were drawn. The old man is handsome, energetic and full of vitality; Needle-piercing gesture, the whole body is condensed, one hand holds the needle and the other hand leads the silk, focusing the most trance-like point of the eyes on the invisible thread head and aiming at the small hole that has not penetrated the needle nose, which makes the viewer fascinated and quiet. People who don't stop thinking are like respectful and extremely careless; We can't help you with this! Wonderful! Crazy wisdom is high!
It is the most difficult to promote figure painting in the painting world.
A master of figure painting should take both form and spirit as the first priority; Gymnastics is better than similar figure; God is in the depths of the soul, and form is the representation; In plastic arts, the most difficult thing is to vividly express the inner world of the characters.
Kai Liang's "Broken Reed" is written in letters by folding (cutting) a reed stem or a bunch of thatch, which is similar to cursive script, but radiant. In the history of art, there is only one person who folds reeds or hair bundles into portraits! Although there is this record in the history of painting, there are no works, only legends! Until the Ming Dynasty, Chen Xianzhang (Baisha) set a precedent again, and its spirit was full of charm!
Throughout history, it is hard to imagine what it would be like to use crisp reed stems and thatch instead of soft brushes to express facial features and gestures. Liang Kai, on the other hand, achieved magnificent results with absolute boldness, delicacy, resilience, breadth of mind and profundity, which is his first artistic style.
Among the landscape flower-and-bird paintings, there is the Southern Song Dynasty painting school with great freehand brushwork; In figure painting, freehand brushwork figure painting can't be regarded as Kai Liang's "broken reed description". In the process of breaking through practice, he created an unprecedented and amazing pioneering work. Who can imitate such wear marks? Emperor Ningzong of the Southern Song Dynasty, how can you understand the depth of his exquisite art! To this end, if you don't accept it, give it to the gold belt.
There was a poem that said: Mo Daoliang is an alcoholic, and cats are chic snow; I don't know how drunk I am hanging a gold belt on the wall.
Secular people laughed at him like a madman. The emperor gave nothing to senior officials except drinking all day.
Imagine, in that kind of court aristocrat, who can understand his artistic pains! In court, painting is only allowed in the way prescribed by the royal family. Even though his masterpieces such as Snowbird have revealed their talents, the "folding reed painting" has not been accepted by the court; He knows it's no use trying. Of course, he can only drink all day to amuse himself. After a long time, I left my job to live for the people, and my life was miserable; It is said that he became a adherent, so he went to Hangjiahu area and lost the conditions for painting. Such a profession, where can I draw! This "patch map" should be a portrayal of the poor life of the adherents. The reed and the bundle of hair can naturally be folded everywhere, and the author has no name (no signature). It seems to be more reliable than the "Li Bai Xing Yin Tu" collected by Tokyo Museum in Japan! But the characteristics, brushwork and manner of the two are so similar, the difference is that the reed bundle is a pen! Like a sketch of life, I think this little folded reed sketch is Kai Liang's original work and a masterpiece of history. Extremely precious and rare, it should be regarded as a treasure. I am doing my best, hoping that future generations can preserve it forever and let this artist shine his wisdom in the treasure house of artists. Otherwise, many people don't know the evolution and turmoil of history; Scattered among the people, treated as a child's play, destroyed by garbage, committed the same crime!
On the other hand, from the paper and ink of the painting, experts have identified its chronological relationship: on the basis of paper, there was hard yellow paper in the Tang Dynasty, such as modern jade plates. On the other hand, the smooth surface made of yellow tillers (Chinese herbal medicine) has a slight yellowish luster, like the color of rice noodles. In the Song Dynasty, it was also called leather money (like a woman's skin, thin and soft), which belonged to cooked paper. This "patch map" has a powder surface, and the color is very similar to the leather note. After a thousand years, the milky white paper turned dark yellow.
The further study of its ink color shows that it has been exposed to the sun for thousands of years, and the relationship between paper and ink is extremely natural and harmonious, and the ink color is deeply eaten in paper. The color of the paper became darker and the ink became moldy. On the whole picture, there is not a stroke or a trace on the paper, which belongs to future generations. If it is old paper, it will be drawn by later generations, and its ink color will inevitably float on the paper, so it is impossible for ink and old paper to be harmonious. This is enough to prove that the description of overlapping reeds was written in the Song Dynasty, only from the coincidence of paper and ink years.
Judging from the ink quality, according to the records in relevant research books, the ink specially made by the Empress Dowager of Southern Tang Dynasty can be thrown into the water as a whole, and it is still hard and intact after being taken out for one and a half years. These are all in line with the relationship of the Song Dynasty. To this end, it can be further confirmed that this is a painting by Song people, no doubt!
As for its pen, there is no doubt that it is "folded reed tracing". It is made of thatch and is thick and hard. No pen can do this. Moreover, only one painter in the Song Dynasty can paint with a thatched pen. Is it not clear? This conclusion can only be made by Liang Jie!
The identification of seals is stamped by later generations, and has nothing to do with the painting itself. There is no seal of the Song people. Most of them are stamped out of love and do not damage the artistic value of the picture.
To identify an ancient painting, we must first get the exact date of its paper and ink, and then verify which painters were there in this period. By comparing their styles and characteristics, we can confirm who the author is more accurately. This is called "only comparison can discriminate". Even if there is no money in the painting, its liquidity is not great. The reason is that every assertion depends on its true evidence, not specious rumors in society.
Appraisal can't be subjective, let the evidence speak! The painting itself is evidence.
Liu was born in the spring of 1984.
