Shenmai - Zhaohai Wuyong, from "Lingguang Fu": "Beside the ankles of Yin Qiao and Yang Qiao, the four points for athlete's foot are first searched." An ancient saying about insomnia "Insomnia" and "no sleep". Regarding the mechanism of sleep, "Lingshu·Kouwen" says: "If the Yang Qi is exhausted and the Yin Qi is strong, then the eyes will be closed (falling asleep); if the Yin Qi is exhausted but the Yang Qi is strong, then the person will be awake (waking up)." "Lingshu·Kouwen" "Cold and Fever Diseases" says: "Yin and Yang are in the same position, yin and yang intersect, yang enters and yin comes out, yin and yang meet at the sharp canthus (corner of the eye), if the yang energy is strong, the eyes will be angry (awake), and if the yin energy is strong, the eyes will be closed (sleeping)." No. The pathogenesis of sleepiness, "Lingshu Dahuo Lun": "Huang Di said: If you are sick and can't lie down, why is the Qi causing it? Qi Bo said: Wei Qi cannot enter Yin and always stays in Yang. If it stays in Yang, Yang Qi will be full. "When the Yang Qi is full, the Yang Qi will be strong, and if the Yin Qi is not allowed to enter, the Yin Qi will be deficient, so the eyes will not be clear." When the syndrome is present, it is still planned to increase or decrease according to the syndrome. If the heart and kidneys are not connected, add Xinshu and Shenshu, or add Shenmen and Sanyinjiao; if the stomach is not harmonious and restless, add Zusanli and Sanyinjiao. Mr. Lu understands that if the syndrome belongs to this type of insomnia, the Shenmai acupuncture should be used for purging, and the Zhaohai acupuncture should be used for tonic.

This means that people who are invaded by cold evil often yawn. Also known as "owing". If the syndrome is qi deficiency, yang decline, and insufficient kidney qi, the Shenmai and Zhaohai acupuncture methods should be used to replenish the body; for those with yang deficiency and moderate cold, the Shenmai acupuncture should be used tonify, and the Zhaohai acupuncture should be used to purge first and then tonify.
