After the completion of important buildings in the Forbidden City, a grand opening ceremony is often held, such as inviting celebrities or dignitaries to cut ribbons, holding celebratory tea parties, etc. The opening ceremony of this kind of building, that is, the completion of the entire building is called completion, such as "Young School Qionglin." Volume Three. "Palace Class": "The beginning of civil engineering is called the beginning of the war, and the completion of the creation is called the completion." It means that the beginning of measuring and building a house is called the beginning of the war, and the completion of the construction project is called "completion." In "Zuo Zhuan. "The Seventh Year of Zhaogong" uploaded: "The son of Chu built the Zhanghua Terrace, and he was willing to join the princes in defeating it." The general idea is that in the Spring and Autumn Period, King Ling of Chu built the Zhanghua Terrace and hoped to hold a completion ceremony with the princes. The word "Luo" mentioned here in "Zuo Zhuan" refers to the sacrificial ceremony held when the ancient palace was built. This is another usage of the word "Luo" in ancient times, such as "Zuo Zhuan." Note": "When the palace is completed, the sacrifice is done." Zhanghua Terrace, also known as Zhanghua Palace, was a high platform built by King Ling of Chu. It was used for observing astronomy. It was known as "the first platform in the world" at that time. According to historical records, the Zhanghua platform is ten feet high and the base is about fifteen feet wide. To reach the top, you have to rest three times in between. It is also recorded in "Chronicles of the States of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty", "Mozi" and "Warring States Policy" that King Chu Ling had a special hobby and liked people with thin waists. Regardless of men and women, anyone with a thick waist was regarded as a thorn in his side. King Ling of Chu preferred women with slim waists to sing and dance in Zhanghua Palace, so Zhanghua Palace was also called the "Slim Waist Palace". In order to gain the favor of the king, the maids and ministers at that time deliberately went on a diet and girded their waists, and even starved to death without regrets. In "Mandarin. "Chu Yu" also records the construction of Zhanghua Terrace by King Ling of Chu. According to records, Wu Ju was a senior official of the Chu State and was Wu Zixu's grandfather. At that time, King Ling of Chu and Wu Ju climbed up to the built Zhanghua Terrace together. King Ling of Chu felt proud that "Taiwan is beautiful", but Wu Ju disagreed, thinking that "Taiwan is beautiful but Chu is in danger" and went to remonstrate with King Ling of Chu. Wu Ju admonished King Ling of Chu because he built this high platform, which made the people tired, the treasury was empty, and the crop harvest was greatly affected. It took several years to complete, and the people's support was lost. It was simply not worth the gain! Wu Ju believes that the "beauty" of Taiwan must comply with the will of God and the sentiments of the people, and must be based on the moral norms entrusted to people by God. If only the monarch relies on his own selfishness, it will lead the country to a dangerous situation. However, King Ling of Chu did not listen to Wu Ju's advice and still wanted to invite the princes from all over the world to attend the inauguration ceremony. However, the princes were all ashamed of King Ling of Chu's behavior and refused the invitation. Later, he sent Dazai to invite the Marquis of Lu and threatened him with a war in Shu, so the Marquis of Lu reluctantly came. Therefore, the original meaning of "completion" refers to the sacrificial ceremony held when the ancient ancestral temple or palace was built, such as "Notes on Yuewei Thatched Cottage" written by Ji Yun of the Qing Dynasty. "Luanyang Xiaoxia Lu Wu" says: "On the day of completion, a grand feast will be held to worship the gods." Later, "completion" was used to refer to the completion of a building.
