Professor Li Jinyong is the earliest expert in setting up the course of synopsis of golden chamber and compiling the textbook of synopsis of golden chamber in the undergraduate education of traditional Chinese medicine. 1963 presided over the compilation of the second edition of traditional Chinese medicine, and was the main leader of the early "synopsis of the golden chamber" discipline in China.

Professor Li Jinyong is a famous expert on Huangdi Neijing. He founded and developed the modern subject education of Huangdi Neijing, a classic theory of traditional Chinese medicine (including the establishment of the basic subject of traditional Chinese medicine) in Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Based on the principles of dialectical materialism and textual research, this paper makes a systematic and comprehensive textual research on the medical theory of Huangdi Neijing, and solves a large number of difficult problems that have always existed. Correctly expounded the basic theory and academic thought of TCM in Huangdi Neijing, and put forward many opinions. Its research results have been cited by many editions of Neijing textbooks and adopted by the Institute of Ancient Books. 2. In the research of TCM: First, the method of treating classics was pioneered in the field of TCM in China, that is, the knowledge of collation, exegesis, phonology, ancient Chinese characters, dialectology, history, archaeology and taboo was combined with TCM theory and clinical medical practice experience to study TCM ancient books and TCM classic theories; Secondly, the research results include more than 24 classic medical books and ancient books, including four classic works and ancient medical books, as well as Chinese medicine books in the pre-Qin and Han dynasties, and there are hundreds of difficult problems in the research. 3.
