Heat-proof and moisture-proof (waterproof) of archives warehouse

The formation of high temperature in archives is mainly caused by the solar radiation heat introduced from the roof, walls, doors and windows of the warehouse, and the formation of high humidity is mainly caused by the infiltration of groundwater, rain and humid air through the roof, walls, doors and windows, ground and other parts. In order to keep the temperature and humidity in the archives warehouse as stable as possible, corresponding measures should be taken for the enclosure structure of the warehouse building, such as roof, external wall, doors and windows, ground, etc., so as to be close to or meet the requirements. China's Code for Architectural Design of Archives stipulates that the temperature of a general archive room is not lower than 65438 04℃ in winter, not higher than 24℃ in summer and the relative humidity is 45 ~ 60%.

The form, structure, material and color of the roof of archives should consider the heat insulation effect, and at the same time, it should be conducive to the timely drainage of rainwater and prevent leakage. It is generally believed that a certain slope of the roof is conducive to drainage, and the air sandwich roof is conducive to heat insulation. There are more and more new double-roof archives in China. When using flat roof, we should pay attention to the insulation treatment of the raised floor foundation, and the raised floor should not be less than 0.2m When using sloping roof, we should pay attention to the smooth ventilation in the roof, and the lower roof adopts reinforced concrete structure. The insulation and moisture-proof measures of the external wall of archives include: thickening the wall, using heat insulation and waterproof materials, air sandwich wall, setting up external corridors or circular corridors, etc. The above measures have their own advantages and disadvantages, so we should make full use of them. Many people set up a circular corridor in the warehouse of China Archives, that is, an outer corridor is set around the warehouse, and the width of the outer corridor can vary from 1 meter to 2 meters as needed. The outer wall thickness of the circular corridor is generally required to be not less than 0.37m, and the wall can be made of heat insulation and waterproof materials. No windows or small windows are opened on the external walls. The circular corridor can prevent the direct influence of harmful factors such as radiant heat and rain on the library, and has comprehensive effects of moisture-proof, heat insulation, dust-proof and light-proof for file protection.

The windows of the archives should be as few as possible, and the ratio of the area of each opening to the area of the external wall should not be greater than 1: 10. Windows should be double-decked windows, which should be tight and firm, easy to open and close, and should have sunshade facilities. The warehouse door should be firm, tight, fireproof, moisture-proof and heat-insulated. There should be a buffer room in front of the warehouse. Building windowless archives is the development trend, which can not only reduce energy consumption, but also ensure the stability of temperature and humidity in archives. But the windowless library must be equipped with corresponding technical facilities.

Archives are divided into underground warehouses (including cave warehouses) and above-ground warehouses. The advantage of underground warehouse is that the temperature and humidity in the warehouse are relatively stable, which can avoid light and dust, but the ground and wall must be waterproof and moisture-proof. There are two kinds of moisture-proof measures for the ground warehouse: one is filling the ground and the other is overhead. Most Chinese archives are built on elevated ground, especially in high humidity areas in the south. Generally, the height of the overhead ground is not less than 0.45m, and the simple cement ground is used below, which is not less than 0. 15m higher than the outdoor ground, and the ground drainage slope is not less than 1%. Generally, there are moisture-proof measures for the upper floor of the overhead floor. The outer wall of the overhead floor should be provided with ventilation holes, cast iron ventilation grates and openable panel doors, which should be opened and closed in time to prevent condensation.
