Is the printer ink toxic?

Ink is poisonous.

Ink is toxic, and frequent contact with ink will do harm to human body.

Mainly respiratory tract entry

The toxic part of ink will damage human body and subcutaneous fat, be inhaled into trachea, bronchus, lung or spread to other organs through blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, and even cause chronic poisoning of the body. In addition, there is a toxic substance called polychlorinated biphenyls in ink, which will cause poisoning when the storage amount reaches 0.5 ~ 2g in human body. Suggestion:

1. Keep the room where the printer is placed ventilated;

2. When printing documents, people should keep a distance of at least 2 meters from the machine;

3. Do not use inferior toner cartridges (toner);

4. Do not remove the toner cartridge and printer without permission.

Tip:

The main component of toner is not carbon, but is composed of polymer resin, charging inhibitor, black agent (carbon black) and additives. Polymer resin accounts for 80% of all toner, charging inhibitor accounts for 5% of all toner, black agent (carbon black) accounts for 7% of all toner, and additive accounts for 8% of all toner components.

Black agent (carbon black) is mainly used to control printing blackness, and its components contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and dimethyl nitramine, which are carcinogens No.3 and No.4 respectively, and the content shall not exceed the standard. Because of its low price, carbon black is mostly used as the main raw material of some selenium drums in China. Toner needs to be melted at high temperature before it can be finally fixed on paper to form words or images. It is conceivable that in the process of fixing and heating, a large number of carcinogens emitted by carbon powder with excessive carbon black are harmful to the health of indoor personnel!
