Yiqiao used to be the chokepoint of Shangbafu and Xiasanfu in Zhejiang Province. "Yupu Sunset" was once one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Xiaoshan". The discovery of Hengzhutang Niudai shows that it was a prosperous ancient commercial port 1,500 years ago. Among the Eight Scenic Spots of Xianghu Lake, Yi Bridge occupies two scenic spots, including "Yangqi Bells" and "Hengtang Song". Yiqiao Town was once the early activity area of ??the Communist Party during the Agrarian Revolution, and was listed as an old revolutionary base area by the provincial and municipal civil affairs departments.
Yiqiao has outstanding people and talented people. During the Tomorrow Shun period, Han Qi came to supervise the imperial censor, and the ruins of the archway still exist. Later generations raised funds to rebuild the Han family ancestral hall in southern Hunan. During the Republic of China, Ms. Shen Peilan of Tangwu Village passed intelligence to the Chinese army and annihilated hundreds of Japanese troops. She was ordered by the Nationalist Government to receive a plaque with the words "Forgetting Home for Country." Four traditional cultures, including Yiqiao mutton, ancient rice paper seals, bamboo crafts, and Li's orthopedics, have been listed as district-level intangible cultural heritage.
