First, North Ai
Bei Ai is now "Nine-headed Fairy Ai". In Song Dynasty, Su Song once recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica: "Folium Artemisiae Argyi, ... can be seen everywhere today, especially those who have regained Taoism and have four bright thoughts." According to the book, Fu Dao and Siming Love are the best. Li Shizhen also mentioned in Compendium of Materia Medica: "Tang Yin is called Northern Ireland".
According to research, Fudao belongs to today's tangyin county, Anyang City, Henan Province, which is today's Fudao Town, so this kind of wormwood is also called Fudao Ai. The famous doctor Bian Que was buried in Fudao Town, and Fudao Ai was planted around Bianque Temple. Compared with other mugwort, voodoo mugwort is tall and lush, with high cashmere yield and high medicinal value. Fan Chengda, a poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, once wrote a poem entitled "Burning Ai": "Seeking truth from love, pressing the acupoints according to ancient Tang Ming", which means that moxibustion requires true voodoo moxa, and acupoints should be selected according to ancient Tang Ming classics, and voodoo moxa should be placed in a very high position.
Second, sea love.
As famous as Bei Ai, there is also a kind of wormwood called Hai Ai, which was also discovered in the Song Dynasty. "Compendium of Materia Medica" said, "Ai Ye ... Tang Yin's revival of Taoism was the best in the Song Dynasty, and there were also those who had four bright pictures. In modern times, only Tangyin was called Bei Ai, and Siming was called Hai Ai. " The Siming mentioned here is Ningbo today. However, at present, the stock of Haiai is not much, and the brand is not loud enough. It needs the promotion and prosperity of local governments and people of insight.
Third, mugwort leaves.
In the Ming Dynasty, another kind of wormwood called Artemisia argyi was discovered in Li Shizhen's hometown of qi zhou, Hubei. Li Shizhen admired this kind of wormwood in his hometown. In Compendium of Materia Medica, he made no secret of his love for this kind of wormwood. Li Shizhen said: "From the beginning, the people of qi zhou won. They filled the square with things. This is the most important thing in the world, and this is mugwort.
Fourth, Ai Qi.
Finally, talk about Ai Qi. Its pronunciation is the same as that of mugwort leaf, but it is not produced in Hubei, but refers to mugwort leaf produced in Anguo, Hebei (formerly known as qi zhou), so this mugwort leaf is also called Ai Qi. Qi zhou, located in the middle of the north, is rich in medicinal resources, and is the distribution center of northern medicinal materials. There are many records about Qi Ai in the medical books of Qing Dynasty. Li Ruzhen, a novelist in the Qing Dynasty, wrote in his later years in The Mirror Flower Garden that moxibustion for three times can cure warts (sores) and never recur. The appearance of "Ai Qi" in the book confirmed the historical fact that Ai Qi had been used as Chinese herbal medicine by doctors at that time.
