Peking University Library is a very open place. While protecting its collection, volunteers are also committed to helping non-Peking University students read a large number of collections. Since 1987, Peking University Library has been open to the public. People are welcome to read books in the library and make use of the information of this institution. The opening hours are Monday to Friday: 8: 00 am-22: 00 am, Saturday and Sunday: 8: 00 am-17: 00 am.
Peking University Library, founded in 1898, is one of the earliest modern libraries in China. Approved by the State Council as the first batch of national key ancient books protection units, it has developed into a research-oriented library with rich resources, modernization, comprehensiveness and openness.
