Brief introduction of Sichuan museum

Sichuan Museum was founded in 194 1, with a history of more than 70 years. There are more than 350,000 cultural relics in the library, including more than 70,000 precious cultural relics. In 2009, the new Sichuan Museum was completed. The new museum covers an area of more than 88 mu and is located in Huanhuaxi historical and cultural scenic spot in Chengdu. It is the largest comprehensive museum in southwest China, and occupies an important position in China Public Museum.

At present, Sichuan Museum has 14 exhibition halls, with a total area of 12 square meters, including 10 permanent exhibitions of calligraphy and painting, ceramics, bronzes, national cultural relics, arts and crafts, Tibetan Buddhism, stone carvings of Wanfo Temple, paintings and calligraphy by Zhang Daqian, and pottery of Han Dynasty. There are also four temporary exhibition halls for holding various temporary exhibitions. The new museum also has an academic lecture hall for more than 200 people, which is used for various large-scale conferences and academic lectures.

There are bronze bows with animal faces on the first ear of elephants in the Western Zhou Dynasty, ceramic rappers in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and modern scrolls of Mrs. Zhang Daqian.
