Cheng Jiaben: A Dream of Red Mansions is a movable-type book published by Bookstore in 1916 (179 1). It was edited and published by Cheng Weiyuan and Gao E. Twenty-eight years after Cao Xueqin's death, Cheng and Gao tried their best to collect the first eighty chapters and the scattered last forty chapters left by Cao Xueqin. Finally, "A Dream of Red Mansions" 120 is "shared by all".

The title of Dream of Red Mansions was collected by Yang in the Xianfeng period, also known as "Yang Zang Manuscripts" and "Fat Manuscripts". At the end of Chapter 78, the words "I have read Uncle Lan (Gao E)" are written. 1959 appeared in Beijing and was purchased by the Institute of Literature, China Academy of Social Sciences.
The biggest feature of the dream draft is that it has complete 120 times, and the original text is Wu dialect. This is a manuscript, but neither the original nor the revised text is Gao E's handwriting. Its revision was inherited by other fat books and books.
