Chen Lidong, male, born in May 1960, graduated from Hunan University in June/98100, went to study in Japan in June/984, and received a doctorate in engineering from Northeastern University in June/990. He is a researcher at Shanghai Institute of Silicate, China Academy of Sciences. Chen Lidong has been engaged in the research of thermoelectric materials and devices for a long time. In 2023, he was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences.
Focusing on the key scientific issues of high-performance thermoelectric materials and devices, Chen Lidong systematically carried out research on electrothermal transport mechanism, controllable preparation and performance regulation, and innovatively put forward the academic idea of introducing selective scattering units for electron and phonon transport through multi-scale microstructure design to realize the coordinated regulation of electrothermal transport and high-performance thermoelectric materials. The developed high-performance thermoelectric materials and thermoelectric conversion technology are gradually applied to thermoelectric refrigeration and temperature control, efficient recovery of heat energy, space science and other technical fields.
Character experience, Chen Lidong.
He has served as the chief engineer of Riken Japan, the Japan Institute of Aerospace Technology (special researcher), the Department of Physics of the University of Michigan (visiting scholar) and the Institute of Metal Materials of Northeastern University (assistant and associate professor). 200 1 Supported by the Talent Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences, he worked in Shanghai Silicate Research Institute.
In 2003, he was supported by the National Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and in 2004, he won the Shanghai Outstanding Returned Talents Award and the final evaluation of the talent plan of China Academy of Sciences. He is currently a researcher at Shanghai Silicate Institute of China Academy of Sciences, director of the State Key Laboratory of High Performance Ceramics and Ultrastructure, director of the Board of Directors of the International Thermoelectric Society, and chairman of the Shanghai Ancient Ceramics Society; Academician of Asia-Pacific Academy of Materials Science; Editor-in-chief of Inorganic Materials Journal and co-editor of npj Computational Materials.
He used to be the deputy director of Shanghai Silicate Research Institute of China Academy of Sciences, the first board member of thermoelectric materials and application branch of China Materials Research Society, and the first chairman of Asian Thermoelectric Union.
