The form is mainly five words and four sentences, accounting for about two-thirds of the total points, which plays a positive role in the formation of five-word quatrains.

Characteristics of Yuefu in Northern Dynasties:

Differences between Yuefu in Northern and Southern Dynasties;

From the perspective of language style, the folk songs in the Northern Dynasties are characterized by simplicity and vigor, while the folk songs in the Southern Dynasties are mainly gorgeous and exquisite, with puns and argots.

In the form of poetry, the five-character sentence pattern of folk songs in the Northern Dynasties accounts for about 60%, and the seven-character and four-character sentence pattern accounts for about 40%. About two-thirds of the five-character folk songs in the Southern Dynasties are mixed words.
