The Legend of Shan Hai Jing Red Shadow is a large-scale fantasy idol drama produced by Phoenix Legend Film Co., Ltd., Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. and jointly produced by Beijing Film Academy. The film is directed by the famous Hong Kong director Zhu Ruibin, starring Hans Zhang, Gulnazar, Kenny Kwan W. Jr. Jr., Lickli, Li Chao, Wang Ge, Gao Junxian, Li Mao and Leo.
Based on the ancient book Shan Hai Jing, the play tells the story of two tribes, Dongyi and Jiuli, which were in constant dispute in ancient times. In order to enhance their strength, they sent troops to find their own Xuan Nv, and the protagonists with different fates were involved in a well-planned conspiracy and infighting.
