The Shuangjian Palace Ancient Road was built in the Qing Dynasty and is famous for the famous Shuangjian Palace on the ancient road. Shuangjian Temple is located on Shuangjian Mountain in Yantan Town, Yongjia County. It was first built in the late Qing Dynasty. It is located in a deep mountain forest and covers an area of ??about ten acres. It is a cultural relic protection unit at the Yongjia County level. There are three main ancient roads leading to the Double Pointed Palace. You can go up the mountain from Xiniaotou, Hengluxia and Wagaolong Village respectively.
The ancient trails range from two to three kilometers in length, with a total climb of about 400 meters, and are based on rocks. Along the ancient road, the bamboos and trees are green, blocking out the sky and the sun, and the scenery is beautiful. The Chessboard Peak in the back mountain where the Shuangjian Palace is located is very brilliant in April and May every year when the mountains are covered with azaleas that look like fire. It's only an hour away, so go.
For this ancient trail tour, we chose to go up the mountain from the lower village of Henglu, Yantan Town, to the hill, and then to the Shuangjian Palace. After viewing the Shuangjian Palace and the Rhododendron, turn back to Longtanbei Reservoir in Wagaolong Village. The total length of the ancient trail is 4,000 meters, with a total climb of about 400 meters.
According to the 1988 edition of the Yongjia County Gazetteer: under Henglu, 0.6 kilometers northwest of Shirantang. 49 households, 223 people. It is named because the village is located under Gansilong Heng Road.
Drive to Hengluxia Village and head towards Xiniaotou Village. Several ancient residences are built along the slope. To the end of the village, an ancient stone road jumps out in front of you. Climb up the steps. The ancient road is steep and goes up for half a mile. Perhaps, after crossing the small bridge, there is a small hut standing in front of the road, with incense and smoke floating in the air. There are wooden benches and fences in the middle for pedestrians to rest and replenish themselves.
After passing Xiaoliao, we walked through dense forests and green trees, blocking out the sky and the sun. Although it was steep, the boundless mountain scenery and the tinkling of spring water made us feel relaxed and happy.
After walking for about a mile and a half through the forest, there is a small pavilion looming in front of the road. The new pavilion is called Caiti Pavilion and was built for villagers from Xiniaotou and other places.
There is a fork on the hillock. Go left to West Bird Head, go straight down to Frog Ridge, and go right up the ridge to Shuangjian Palace.
The ancient road to the Double Point Palace on the right has been renovated into a stone walking trail. Along the way, there are high rhododendrons, bright reds and tall trees.
After walking less than a mile, there is a double-pointed palace mountain gate standing in Pingwa. Entering the mountain gate, several clusters of bright azaleas are displayed beside the ancient road.
The Shuangjian Palace was built in the late Qing Dynasty and covers an area of ??about 800 square meters. It is a private building with a mixed structure of masonry, stone and wood, and is a county cultural relic protection unit. The inscription of Shuangjian Palace: Going upstream from the mouth of Nanxi River, the peaks and mountains on both sides compete with each other, the sound of beaches flirts with each other, the blue pool reflects the green, and the mountains are verdant. The scenery is as beautiful as Wuling Taoyuan. At the northern end of Dazhoulong in the upper reaches, there is a peak called Qipan Peak. There are strange rocks on the top of the cap, shaped like a chessboard. It is said that two immortals played chess here.
The genealogy of the Dai family in Hexi records: The altar of immortals on Xishan Mountain is as wide as a chess game. Through the ages, whoever made the cloth has temporarily moved the stars to fall on the catalpa pan. Although the game between immortals and old men is a legend, it may not be certain, but the beauty of the rivers and mountains and the charming scenery of the motherland cannot be denied. The top of the chessboard is called Double Peak, so it is named because there are two peaks standing side by side on the mountain.
Shuangjian Palace was once a revolutionary battleground. According to the "Yongjia Party History of the Communist Party of China", it is recorded that under the influence of Hu Gongmian, 20 people from Wuchi Village, including Hu Xiehe, Hu Zhensheng and Hu Yanzhen, organized peasant armed forces. In order to open up the activities in Dayuan and Xiaoyuan areas of Nanxi, they also discussed seizing guns to arm themselves.
On August 28, 1929, more than 30 people including Hu Xiehe and Hu Zhensheng raided the Xiadutan Police Station and seized guns and ammunition. Afterwards, the second company of the Fourth Zhejiang and Bao Regiment of the Kuomintang stationed at Fenglin Bafang Temple to deal with the peasant armed forces.
In order to further expand their armed forces and combat the arrogance of the Kuomintang army, Hu Xiehe and others decided to attack the Second Company of the Fourth Regiment of the Kuomintang stationed at the Bafang Ancestral Hall in Fenglin. Then he contacted the peasant armed forces in Nan'an, Xikou and other surrounding areas, held a meeting at Shuangjian Palace, and agreed to attack the Bafang Temple in Fenglin together.
Late at night on September 14, more than 150 armed farmers from various places fought fiercely with the Kuomintang soldiers. At dawn, they led the team to evacuate. The Kuomintang authorities sent troops to pursue and suppress them and rushed to the Shuangjian Palace. The two sides exchanged fire for a long time, but there were no casualties. More than 10 Buddhist temples in the Shuangjian Palace were burned down by the Kuomintang soldiers.
On the depression, the double-pointed ancient temple is built on the slope facing the mountain gate. The incense is strong, and there are several newly built clear waters in front of the palace, reflecting the blue sky. Rhododendrons are clustered on the slopes, and the mountains are red.
Standing on the open flat land, you can see the distant mountains and peaks.
Above the alley on the left side of Shuangjian Palace is Qipanfeng. It was late April when we arrived. Although the rhododendrons on the mountain were brilliant, they had already faded. I would not go before May Day. , will wait until next year.
After viewing the sea of ??flowers, return to Gangshang via the original route, and go down the mountain on the right to Wagaolong Village.
The path down the mountain is a bit steep, but it is lined with trees and gurgling water. Walking along it is like entering a secret realm.
One mile down the road, there is an ancient pavilion standing on the left side of the road. In front of the pavilion, water flows happily and over the rocks.
After walking along the stream for about half a mile, the forest is more abundant, the trees more tall, and the scenery more beautiful.
After walking about half a mile to the Reservoir on the back of Longtan Lake, we saw a patch of green bamboo growing around the reservoir.
Walk about a mile and a half through the forest to the reservoir dam, stand on the dam, and look back at the mountains. The quiet reservoir surface is like green oil reflecting light, the green water is quiet, and the distant mountains are reflected. It is a secret place on an ancient road.
Just past the dam is the Longtanbei Natural Village of Wagaolong Village. There used to be an ancient road to Yantan, but it was abandoned many years ago due to road construction.
According to the place names of Yongjia County: Frog Ridge, 6 kilometers northwest of Yantan. To the north of Longtan Reservoir, the village is shaped like a frog, hence the name. The village houses face west and face east.
