Jiang 'an Campus Library is located in Shuangliu County, covering an area of 25,300 square meters. Its collection of books is basic and comprehensive.
The library of arts and sciences, engineering library and medical library mainly provide professional and academic documents, while the library of Jiang 'an Campus mainly provides basic documents and documents needed by the first and second grades. In order to adapt to the discipline construction of the school and the cultivation of doctors, masters and undergraduates, various general and special reading rooms and stacks are set up at different levels and according to disciplines. There are 35 special reading rooms in the branches of literature, science, medicine and engineering, and the newly-built Jiangan branch library implements a reader-centered service model of "collecting, borrowing, reading and consulting". Sichuan University Digital Library is an open distributed digital information resource network system, and its core components include the following parts: portal system, library automation management system, comprehensive document service system, storage backup system, VOD system and other application service systems. The data system of digital library adopts the advanced storage area network (SAN) recognized by IT industry at present to construct the storage system, and the core information system adopts cluster management software for dual-computer hot backup to ensure the stable operation of core services. A physically independent intranet of 1000M was established between the libraries in the three campuses, and then interconnected with the campus network Internet through a high-speed firewall. Aleph500 (version 16) and METALIB/SFX from Israel's EX LIBRIS Company were introduced, realizing the unified, automated and integrated management of four branches in three campuses. Using the library automation integration system, the automatic management of interview, cataloging, reservation, reading, circulation, periodicals and information retrieval has been realized, and various online services such as online bibliographic retrieval, real-time collection inquiry, new book release, reservation, renewal, personalized service, joint cataloging, interlibrary loan and so on have been carried out through the Internet. The network database provides 24-hour network retrieval service for all teachers and students.
