Who is Li's ancestor?

Li is from the Yellow Emperor, and his ancestors are descendants of Zhuan Xu, the grandson of the Yellow Emperor. The book "Table of Prime Ministers' Genealogy in Tang Dynasty" records: "From the surname won, the world was Dali, and the official was Li." Hao Tao Ren Li Palace, the long palace in charge of justice. According to Records of the Historian, he presided over the formulation of five kinds of punishments, and sentenced them according to the severity of crimes, so that sinners who did not need the five punishments were exiled in different levels, which convinced the people all over the world. He is the 26th official after Li Yu, Xia and Shang. According to the ancient custom of taking officials as surnames, their descendants were called "Li" surnames.

Taking Li as the surname, why did it later become "Li"? It turned out that when Shang and Zhou Yu reached Li Zheng, Shi Li, who took the official as his surname, was appointed as an official. When Zhou Wang was incompetent, Li Zheng was not allowed to enforce the law. If he dies, the Li family will face genocide. Li Zheng's wife and youngest son, Li Zhen, fled to the market in Houyi (now Henan) to take refuge. She was hungry. When she saw the "Mu Zi" in the tree, she picked it and ate it. Mother and son were safe. Later, in order to prevent hunting, Li Zhen didn't dare to be surnamed Li. She was grateful for saving her life and changed her name to Li. "Mu Zi" is a plum from Li Shu.

According to historical records, there are 13 counties in Lee County, namely: Longxi, Zhaojun, Liucheng, Lueyang, Yoshida, Wuwei, Daibei, Koryo, Fanyang, Bohai, Western Regions, Henan and Jingzhao. Among them, Longxi and Zhaojun are the two most famous counties, and today most of Li's descendants come from these two counties. "Longxi" is Li's birthplace, which is today's Gansu. According to People's Daily (1August 27th, 992), the restoration of Li's "Longxi Club" in Longxi has been officially approved. Now, the Li family in Quanzhou, urban and rural areas, and even in Taiwan Province Province and Southeast Asia mostly inscribed "Longxi Yan School" on the plaque at the gate to show that they did not forget their ancestors. Second, Li entered Fujian.

Li entered Fujian in the Tang Dynasty. According to the Records of Zhangzhou County, "Li Sheng started in Gushi and started in Zhangzhou together". Taipei's "Lee's Genealogy" also says: "The ancestors of Gwangju in Gushi entered Fujian with Wang Chao at the end of the Tang Dynasty." There is also a cloud in the genealogy of Yanlou School: its predecessor lived in the east corner of Yanjing in the Tang Dynasty, and Li Shanpu went to Quanzhou, Fujian as an official in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, so he settled in Tongan (ancient Quanzhou). This Li family has the largest number of Li in Taiwan Province Province.

Li entered the cabinet in Longxi and produced the famous Li Gang in the Song Dynasty. Li Gang was a famous hawk in Song Dynasty, who made great contributions from officials to prime ministers. Li Gang's ancestor was the imperial clan of the Tang Dynasty and took refuge in Shaowu, Fujian. His descendants are Li Zhu, and he gave birth to five sons: Jinde, Mude, Shuide, Huode and Tude. Among them, Li Huode has the largest number of descendants, widely distributed at home and abroad, and is regarded as one of the great ancestors of Li in Longxi, South China, and is also known as the ancestors of Fujian and Taiwan.

It is particularly worth mentioning that Li Yuan-xiang, the king of Tang Dynasty, was the first one who entered Fujian. According to Yongchun's Guanlin Li Family Tree, Li Yuanxiang was sealed in Fujian and Vietnam, and his descendants either lived in Nan 'an or moved to Shaxian. In the18th century, a branch migrated to Yongchun and lived in Guanlin. Today, the official Li Lin has become a big family, and has spread to Taiwan Province Province and overseas.
