First, Windows settings.
1. Press Windows+I to open Windows settings, and then click Update and Security.
2. In Windows Update, click Advanced Options.
3. In the advanced option, you can close all items in the update option, or choose to suspend the update, but this suspended update can only be suspended for up to 35 days. After reaching the pause limit, you need to get a new update before you can pause the update again.
Second, close the Windows Update service.
1. Press "Windows+R" to open the running dialog box, enter "services.msc", and then click "OK". In the pop-up service window, find the "Windows Update" option and double-click it to open it.
2. In the pop-up Windows Update Properties dialog box, set the startup type to Disabled.
3. Then click "Restore" to set all boxes in the diagram as "No Operation", and then click "Apply" and "OK".
