Legend of Chiyou

In ancient times, Chiyou led the Jiuli clan to develop agriculture, smelt copper and iron, trained the Wuchang, created a hundred artists, inspired the future and made outstanding contributions to the formation of early Chinese civilization. The border area between Henan, Shandong and Hebei is called "the capital of nine miles".

In Zhuolu County, Hebei Province, there are relics such as Chiyou Tomb, Huangdi Spring (Hanquan), Chiyou Sanzhai, Chiyou Spring, Bagua Village, Dingchetai, Chiyou Blood-stained Mountain, Tatu, Shangxiaqiqi and Qiao Shan.

Some people say that Chiyou is not a person, but the name of a tribe. Most scholars think Chiyou is true, while some skeptics think it is false.

The legendary leader of the Six Phases of the Yellow Emperor (Chiyou, Taichang, Black Dragon, Zhu Rong, Taifeng and Houtu) was equal to Tianguan when he was in charge. But he betrayed the Yellow Emperor, fought against the Yellow Emperor, and finally died in defeat.

According to "Shiben Zuopian", Chiyou is the inventor of various weapons and the earliest god of war in China's traditional myth system. During the Warring States, Qin and Han Dynasties, there were eight shrines of heaven, earth, sun, moon, yin and yang, soldiers and four seasons on Qilu land. It was Chiyou who sacrificed in the soldier's main temple.

There are five kinds of weapons invented by Chiyou, which are called Five Soldiers, but the specific types and statements are different. Some people say it's a halberd bow, others say it's a spear and cymbal armor shield. There is an image of Chiyou on the stone reliefs of the Han Tomb in Yinan, with a ferocious face, a bow and arrow on his head, armor on his body, a spear in his hand, a sword in his foot, and a shield on his crotch.
